How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Sugar on the dishes and a little thing that you get from new clothes thay was on the floor that was from a previous guest..so not the best cleaning but not the worst either.

Shower over the bath.. although the bathroom was large lack of somewhere to put things No telephone in the room to contact reception
Location great... hopeful staff... comfortable bed's plenty of hanging space, but if you are under 5ft 5" you have problems reaching the coat hangers

We liked everything.
Very nice Hotel with beautiful size room and bathroom with nice big towells, excellent bed matress, frigider, caffee machine with variety of caffee available,balcony with a little table and chairs.Excellent Hotel and the price is just right. Many thanks to the very nice and kind Srta. Alma , at the reception desk.We shall return.

A bit of traffic noise through the night
Immaculately clean with good sized rooms and comfortable beds. Plenty of street parking and only a ten minute stroll into the town centre. Extremely helpful and friendly staff

I didn't like the "shower in the bath" arrangement, nor the plastic composite mattress protector. The sound proofing of the room could be much improved.

A small problem with the lever operating the warm water flow in the shower/bath

Buffet breakfast adequate but somewhat limited choice
Modern hotel convenient for easy walk into Ayamonte centre. Supermarket next door if needed. Free street parking available.

The hotel was very clean and the staff were excellent. The bar and cafe were an additional bonus. It is also in a prime location as it is a 10 minute stroll to the centre.

I spent a magnificent 3 days at Hotel Don Diego and it was amazing. The breakfast was good and you can get food at the hotels cafe. Now, I'm a wheelchair and I have never experienced such a degree of kindness and help when I've been travelling. The staff went out of their way to make my stay as comfortable as possible. And it wasn't just one or two of the staff, everyone treated me with sincere kindness and helped me so my stay would be as stress-free as possible and they nailed it. If I could've give 6 stars, I would've! Thank you everyone at Hotel Don Diego! I will definitely be back! 😀

Unfortunately we had to change rooms as we had no internet and no hot water which was very frustrating. No one offered to assist us to move and it made us late to meet friends. After the move all was good.
Location was great. Breakfast very good and food in the restaurant was excellent. Service from the bar staff was exemplary.

One of the few places that we cannot find any faults. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and it was spacious, very clean and welcoming; double bed was large and very comfortable; room overlooks a pretty little park; free parking available outside the property; town centre 5 mins walk away; staff immensely helpful and inclusive breakfast was very good. We just wish that we can stay there for much longer.

The bath water took a long time to get hot.
