How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

The apartment was comfortable and spacious, perfect for two families with kids. It had all the necessary facilities, and the host was very kind and communicative.

Only thing that wasn’t great about the whole stay was the chair in the apartment. It looked to be a broken chase lounge maybe. We made it work but this was the only thing I wasn’t 100% happy with.
The property is close to the beach and in a less busy area of the city

The staff were really helpful and welcoming. They were very responsive and approachable. The location was great for the beach and also lots of local bars and restaurants. It was in a more traditional part of Barcelona and a nice retreat after the busy areas of the main tourist spots. It was near the metro and also stops for the HOHO bus. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious. The pool was a welcome refreshing cool off. A great find. We'd happily return there.

No sun loungers by the pool? showers were very outdated.
Located in a nice area just enough distance away from the city centre. It met all the needs for a family and the air con was very effective.

A bit overpriced
The stay is great, great position if you come for the Primavera festival and don't want to depend on transportation (it's a 40min walk). We got a base floor room so we had a nice terrace to hang out outdoors.

A few facilities like the sofa in the hallway and the size of the pool were underwhelming. Also the extra charge for a late arrival seems unnecessary.
Fantastic location with close proximity to the beach, grocery stores, and shops. The apartment has everything you need for a nice stay

When we arrived the apartment unfortunately hadn’t been cleaned well which affected the first night’s stay. However the staff were very good and the apartment was cleaned again for us the next day and was lovely and clean when we returned home. This was the only negative, everything else was amazing.
Beautiful apartment, amazing location and really lovely and friendly staff.

The building is run down , could do with some maintenance , looks un cared for considering the price that is charged , the office location near the garbage bins gives a bad first impression!
The apartment was a good size for a couple , after travelling for 6 weeks it was great to have laundry facilities & a kitchen, location was good .

The waiting time for check-in is indeed a bit long
The location is very good. There is a beach across the road, where you can go swimming every day. There is a small shopping mall next to it, with many supermarkets, which is very convenient for eating and shopping.

Would be great to have beds and some plants by the pool area. We ended up going to the beach every day instead. Also double check cleaning, we found a kitchen knife and painkiller packets in the bedside table.
Staff were very friendly. Room was larger than expected. Plenty of towels and toiletries. Really enjoyable stay! Great location.

Minor things to refresh/repair, like shower hose.
Very nice location, clean, new, modern building. Small pool on the roof available. Good wifi, comfortable beds, full kitchen and bathroom. Very close to lots of restaurants and the sea.

Shower curtains need replacing, signs of mould on it. The metal strips on the kitchen floor are slightly raised and my 8 year old daughter cut her foot quite badly on it.
