Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomAbsolutely nothing
We stayed in a junior suite with terrace. It was a very intimate romantic setting to stay, out of the hustle and bustle of the city but close enough to go into the city when you want (with transportation) The atmosphere was absolutely serene, the views and sunsets the pets two lovely dogs and a couple of rabbits. I must say the staff and the other guests all made our stay so relaxing and special. The staff I found to be so accommodating and informative, friendly and above all welcoming, the Hotel has a family run business feel. The owner was amazing. The pool was so refreshing and there were never more than one other couple using the facilities at any time even had there have been the hotel isn’t huge so it wouldn’t have felt crowded. During our 4 night stay we had the pool to ourselves a few times. We ate on site and the dinner menu was great, the breakfast also was very appealing which we had each day of our stay. We would love to return. Thank you to the staff at El Balcon de las nieves for making the Granada leg of our Andalusia tour so memorable.

AustraliaGranada in summer is hot so we chose to stay just out of the city past the suburb of La Zubia. If fact this B&B is at the base of the Sierra Nevada & you most definitely need a car to get there as it's about 10kms from the city centre. The views over Granada are AMAZING & beautiful to say the least & the sunsets from the balcony just awesome & then the city lights...gorgeous!!. The swimming pool was so welcome after hot days sightseeing in Granada & we were pretty tired each day so decided to eat at the establishment. The chef is to be complemented...the food fabulous & we ate something different every night. A special mention to the lovely waitress who was so friendly & nice. Breakfast was abundant with freshly squeezed orange juice & eggs & lots of other local goodies. The dogs Logan & Luna were friendly company as well as the the roaming bunnies in the garden. We just loved staying here & wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

NetherlandsHonestly the best place we have stayed at. The view is amazing. Staff is super friendly and both the breakfast and dinner are delicious. There's plenty of nature in the area for hiking and driving down to Granada is also a short drive. Perfect hub to do some hiking and visiting Granada

United KingdomWe picked a room that was up in the eaves so the ceiling slope took some navigating but fortunately we are both short so managed to avoid bumping head. Beware if you are tall though… this room may be difficult for you

SpainI loved how peaceful it was. Felt connected to nature because it wasn’t so close to the city. Still a 25 minutes away and a very easy drive. Waking up in the morning to birds chirping and having dogs and rabbits in the hotel was such a nice touch. Food was also excellent.

GermanyA small, charming hotel on the way to the Sierra Nevada with a stunning view over Granada. Very personal atmosphere with outstanding service from the hotel owner and his team. The breakfast was exceptional, and dinner (if you choose to have it) is also highly recommended – best enjoyed on the terrace at sunset. We also received incredibly helpful tips for visiting Granada and for hiking in the surrounding area – don’t miss the chance to explore!

SpainThe dinner was a failure. 4 out of 6 main courses were only available for one person. The food was clearly prepared or warmed in a microwave . The food was terrible and three of us went down to Granada to find some additional food. It was clearly a very bad evening for the kitchen.

FranceMaintenance is an issue in this hotel. We booked a junior suite but found the toilet seat broken and the basket chair on the balcony was old and broken making it very uncomfortable. The advertised fridge was missing and I had to ask for the coffee maker. The staff were very apologetic and moved us to another room which was much nicer. The shower tray was very slow to drain flooding onto the floor. The plants on the balcony needed to be cut back as we had to move them aside to be able to sit down. The evening meal was disappointing as it was cold and greasy as the only member of staff on duty had to leave cooking/serving us in the restaurant to check in new guests. Staff were very apologetic and we were not charged for it. Check the cost of the evening meal before ordering as rather than the advertised 3 course price, each option is priced individually.
The location is good with lovely views over the mountains and Granada. Parking is on street but ok. The receptionist was pleasant, welcoming and helpful. The room was a good size and the bed very comfortable and massive. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The balcony was great with stunning views. The shower room behind the bed was roomy and modern.

United KingdomWe stayed in December which is clearly the quiet time (perhaps one or two other couples staying). Restaurant was open but with a small menu that didn't change the two nights we were there and opened just for us. Moorish Pastillo was and soup was lovely but
Lovely location in a small village in the hills overlooking Granada and in the Sierra Nevada National Park so a great base for hiking etc. Lovely view from room which had everything you need. Great breakfast. Nice log fire in the restaurant. Nice looking little pool on the terrace. Super friendly hosts with their lovely dogs and some surprise other pets! Easy parking outside the door. Would definitely go back in future.

United StatesThe swimming pool was, of course, not functioning due to the weather, but it had dead leaves inside, which slightly diminished the overall cleanness of the area. We had to take photos of everywhere of the property. It is an amazing place to relax.
From the moment I stepped into this hotel, I felt an instant warmth and comfort, like I was walking into my own home. The atmosphere is cozy, with a crackling fireplace that immediately sets the tone for a relaxing stay. The inviting ambiance was made even better by the presence of friendly dogs, who added a touch of homely charm to the experience. The staff went above and beyond, offering excellent service with a personal touch that made me feel truly cared for. Whether it was a warm greeting or thoughtful recommendations for local attractions, every interaction made me feel like I was among friends rather than just another guest. This hotel doesn’t just offer a place to stay; it offers an experience that makes you feel like you’re part of the family. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking a getaway that feels like a warm embrace

Thank you Pedro and his team, we loved our stay with you. The hotel was lovely, very relaxing and calm, in a quiet location. Breakfast was fresh with plenty of options and the evening meals were amazing, perfectly presented and were very tasty. The view from our room was towards Granada, which lit up at night, to offer panoramic views.
