However, the service unfortunately didn’t live up to the quality of the venue. The lady who handled our check-in and check-out was quite cold and unwelcoming. There’s no 24-hour reception, and all communication is handled via WhatsApp, which felt impersonal and at times inconvenient. On the day of our departure, we asked if we could use the pool for a short while longer since the hotel seemed very quiet, but she was unexpectedly strict and controlling. She didn’t allow us to make our own coffees, hovered around us the entire time, and made it clear we were expected to leave immediately. At one point, she even told us off for sitting on the sofa because she had just vacuumed the carpets. The whole experience felt unnecessarily tense and uncomfortable, especially given how empty the property was that day. It’s a shame, because the venue is genuinely wonderful.

The property itself is stunning, the facilities are excellent, beautifully designed, and clearly very well thought-out. The decor throughout is tasteful and refined, and the entire space has a serene, calming atmosphere. Our room was both relaxing and extremely comfortable, making for a peaceful and enjoyable stay.

The sofa bed was not great, for my 5 year old son he was ok because he is not very heavy and doesn’t feel the mattress so much..however I had to stay with him until he fell asleep and it is not comfortable.

The property and staff were all wonderful. The place is so beautiful, the attention to details with furnishings were really clear, as well as the linen, towels and to go as so far as the napkins on the table. We enjoyed ourselves so much, even if it was for one night. It was very peaceful, and really felt like a home away from home.

As the weather wasn’t very nice, the lack of an on-site restaurant was a shame but there were only 6 guests and it wouldn’t be economical for the Hotel. We walked to a very nice Tapas bar and had plenty of good food and drink for very little money which more than made up for it.

Beautifully restored 16th Century Priory. Very clean and tastefully furnished. Our host, Dora, took great care to ensure we had received the instructions to let ourself into the property, contacting us by WhatsApp and by text message to ensure we had received her message. We met Dora at breakfast the next morning and she was very friendly and helpful. Trespaderne is small and quiet but full of charm and historic buildings.

Wonderful Hotel with an award winning design and featured in Style Magazine’s Great location for long walks and exploring the local history and culture! Dora our hostess was incredible, amazing breakfasts that were fresh and locally grown. Knew so much about the history of the city and places for us to visit! Great memories! Certainly we will spread the word about this place!

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. We got all necessary information and could find our room easily. Homelike atmosphere. We felt welcome and our stay was very comfortable. The place was very quiet and ideal for relaxing. Finally the breakfast was just delicious. Can strongly recommend this accommodation.

The town is fine but unspectacular, with a couple of recent bars and a rudimentary but ok restaurant. It is more of a base than a destination, but don’t let that put you off… the priory is memorable.

An old priory beautifully renovated and modernised - extremely comfortable and full of character. The area surrounding it is outstanding - beautiful scenery, idyllic little villages and extremely tranquil. Frias is particularly worth a visit and the drives suggested by Dora, the excellent host, are well worth taking.

Chain across the car park was unfriendly, as was lack of reception.

Getting in was a palaver. No one there, had to phone & given complex instructions for keysafe & doors. Once inside the priory renovation was fascinating….. very modern & intriguing, although the steel stairs were noisy. Dora & husband were delightful, very friendly & delicious breakfast served. Trespederne is a sad town, a junction of many arterial roads & not much else. Frias nearby is a must see hilltop village though, as are the drives through mountains nearby.

10/10 for us. But to write a constructive comment, maybe some sunbeds for the pool garden would have been great.

Excellent location. Quiet and tranquillity. Easy check in. Very good breakfast. Very comfortable beds. Clean. Common areas are comfortable and nicely decorated. Excellent host Dora. Everything was perfect for us.

Everything was perfect. A beautifully, quirky, restored 16c Priory, with patio , gardens, and swimming pool, overlooking the mountains beyond. The communal room was stylishly furnished, and the bedrooms, clean, comfortable as were the beds and toiletries provided. Parking was on site for our 2 motorcycles. The lovely Dora was warm, friendly, helpful, and provided us with tasty breakfast. The area was beautiful with many activities and attractions nearby. A visit to the Old city if Frias, is a must. A big thank you to Dora, who made our stay very special.

No air conditioning in the bedroom, no cereal for breakfast, no tea making facilities in the room, felt very 'do it yourself ', almost like an AirBnB! On the day we were there we couldn't find anywhere in the town selling food so ended up with chips and churros from a van!

The old building was very nice, pool looked alright.

Very echoey and noise travelled. Deck chairs by pool not comfy would have preferred Sun loungers as pool area was lovely.

Trespaderne is a village with little charme. The drastically renovated/rebuilt old house is in a nondespict road in the village. When paying a high rate and seeing nice pictures and a high review mark you expect a special place with welcoming faces. Unfortunately this was not the case. We were welcomed by.. nobody (at 5pm). You have to collect your key from a key box. Inside the house looks deserted. No effort is made to feel the guest welcome. Lights are off, no flowers on the table, no soft relaxed music, no nice smell, just nothing. Instead you will receive multiple messages that you are not allowed to use the kitchen or have food at the table inside or outside. There is not even a slighly inviting restaurant in the village therefore it would be more then welcome to offer a simple menu for the guests. Now guests stay in their room without food or maybe some chips and a coke. We broke the rules with having a salad (we bought in the supermarket) on the terrace. We had to find the switch to have some light and ate our simple meal in silence. The place is without any atmosphere. Except for the lady at breakfast we have not seen any staff. All guests seemed to leave the place as quickly as they could.

Road from Ona to Trespaderne is very beautiful. Place has potential if some effort would be put into it. Smiling lady at the breakfast. Room was clean.
