    Electrical fault/no AC in main bed/dirty, broken - Owner admits all but offered paltry comp!

    Known Electrical issues with the property- even told this in their handbook! Made out it was 'local' problem - it isn't - just this one. Within 4 hours the power cut out. Got power back, but AC in main bed never worked again & it was stifling. Owner admitted faulty electric box outside & new 'motherboard needed - but repair wasn't going to be until end Sept - & this was the 4th! Electrician sent who said same & AC not repairable. Due to heat, I slept on sofa & hubby on floor of lounge. Owner offered fan - if we drove 1.5hr round trip to buy one. This would just blow the heat around - not cool! After day 2, other things were noticeable. The fridge seals filthy, toilet bowls stained, BBQ caked in grime, clothing/shoe thrown onto roof, screen in ensuite broken/cracked - shower tray mouldy & not draining so soap residue has build up making it slippery/dangerous. 2nd bedroom, the bed sagging badly. When mattress lifted, middle strat of bed missing so no support. We used pile of books to prop the bed up. Fly screen in lounge broken so bugs galore. There's a 'resident' pack of feral cats, constantly mewling for food/trying to get in. No broom or mop left to clean or sweep - had to use vacuum on patio. The pool was filtering for over an hour 3 times a day but owner sent no help. Told owner we could not stay without AC (wouldn't have booked without it) & as there was no fixing it, we left asap after 5 days & paid to go elsewhere. Owner offered partial refund - but still charging 75E cleaning fee - despite not being clean on arrival & left so by us. B.com have offered 25E goodwill payment. Sent full written complaint to B.com & no response. Have now lodged a 'section 75' complaint with credit card comp.

    The views were stunning - the location was very quiet.
