Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesNo one is onsite to greet you from at least what I experience everything is communicated through the booking site.
I had a great experience at Four Rooms Hotel. Check-in went smoothly and I had no trouble getting in. My stay was quiet and comfortable—the room had everything I needed. The location is perfect, especially as it’s right at the start of the Camino. I’d definitely recommend it to other travelers.

BelgiumThere was a small place to wash clothes and to dry them, but impossible to get your clothes dry in that small place without window. To use the dryer you needed 4 coins of 1 euro, which I did not have. I went to the washing shop around the corner to get my clothes dry. I also don't like it when you don't see anybody personal and you have to do the check-in with a computer, but I understand that this system makes it cheaper.
Very cleen hostel and comfortable bed (with curtains in the lower bunkbeds). Nice kitchen.

United KingdomGood Hostel nearby everything, very clean, comfortable beds ect, could do with a member of staff present on occasion, the town caters for pilgrims and the strict no early check-in means you're stranded for a few hours in the heat.

IrelandKitchen not resourced adequately and not conducive to cooking a meal which we would have liked to for our group. We were four in our group-booking and the automatic checkin only issued us with one card which was inconvenient especially when going to toilet during the night as the key card was needed to access the room so door had to be left open.
Very clean, chilled place to spend the night resting. Close to the arrival steps into Lugo after finishing a day’s walking on the Camino Primitivo. (Some) very spacious bunks too! Bathrooms/showers had shower gel, were well resourced and modern & clean. We had an issue with the hot temperature of the room as the AC wasn’t working but I messaged the contact person and the problem was resolved very quickly. Very friendly, professional and courteous. Would highly recommend Four Rooms Hostel.

AustraliaMain bathroom door needs to be spring loaded so it rolls back as men or women would be coming out of the shower and you may accidentally see them from the hallway as not everyone was closing the door. Shower needs a hook. No stovetop or way to cook, just microwave and didn't like coffee was €1 but then no milk provided??? So you would spend money to have black coffee. typically tea and coffee it's included for free
Spacious, clean rooms and bathrooms

United StatesThe completely automated check in was like checking in for a flight and impersonal compared to anywhere else I've stayed. 3:00 is the earluest check in. Given how automated the check in was, It was surprising that the coffee pod dispenser and laundry facilities only accepted coins. But these are observations more than complaints. I would stay again
Comfortable beds, nice kitchen area, a few blocks to the center, close to restaurants an supermarkets and the Camino

SingaporeNothing - everything was perfect for tired pilgrims! Supermarket round the corner and short walk to the Roman walls
Check-in is unmanned but excellently arranged. The moment we booked and paid online (only a few days ahead since we are walking the Camino) Lorenzo texted us with the ID and room no we needed to key into the digital registration booth outside the main door, which also has a passport scanner. Once everything is OK, a card key will pop out which you swipe to enter. Wifi is great, room is so big, heater unit so warm, and linen and bed so comfy! Water is hot and pressure is strong. If you enter Lugo on the Camino Primitivo, you can see Four Rooms Hostel (white words on blue) right behind the huge LUGO100KM sign. Lorenzo asked all my questions on WhatsApp almost immediately - he's amazing. There is also a great kitchenette with a coffee machine, fridge, microwave etc

United StatesCodes to get in. No staff. Cameras. Coffee only available if you buy it. On a steep street which might be a problem for some.
Clean room. Comfortable bed. Microwave in common kitchen. It was a nice place and very luxurious for me while walking the Camino. It's a little walk to the historic center.

United KingdomVery comfortable d/bed. Roomy and spotless, great showers and washing facilities, great wifi, good location. Unfortunately, other people can be a problem, not observing the 'quiet hours' protocol. Both nights, people checked themselves into the shared dorm during the early ours (1,2,3am) and saw nothing wrong in disturbing sleeping guests while they put lights on, make their beds, and unpack. They can so, and therefore they will.
