Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

NetherlandsBreakfast, while a good spread, could have used more vegetarian options. Lots of meat but some meat alternatives would have been nice. The food generally wasn't great quality, but the fresh things like omlettes, crepes and fruit were nice. Cava for breakfast if you want as well.
Quiet resort, slightly off season but not having children and their adults helps! Plenty of free parking and multiple access gates so you can get reasonably close to your room. Feet wash station for when you come back from the beach. Direct access to sandy beach also really nice.

FranceThe dinner😭 was a completely mess, not tasty at all.. and even for simple water the waiter said i have to pay... Morning was better, but what about the vegetarians? Where are the salads😭 The toilet in the reception floor were out of service exepted 1. From the balcony, when sitting, i didn’t have a sea view because of the barrier in front that was blocking it
The receptionist Francisco was so kind and fabulous! He gave me a very warm welcome! He gave me a great room just as i requested! The lobby was quite warm, and i loved the atmosphere and libraries around that helped me discover spannish culture. The bed was really good.

RomaniaAt least for our backs, the bed matress was awful, too soft. The water in the outside pool too cold and I don't understand why this thing is not fixed, since there are many complaints already. Also, very small reception, you have to wait for any question.
Very kind staff. Exceptionally clean. Excellent food choices, both at breakfast and dinner. The distance and accessibility to the beach. The interior pool. Awesome repeated experiences at Yuma spa-staff- atmosphere, reservations process. Large room, nice half sea view (room no 2345). Many kudos for the lobby, with a small nice library, confortable couches, bar serving and the evening live shows. Also, awesome idea to use the bracelets as keys to the room but also to pay for different things. The hotel has a slightly peripherical position in Costa Calma but this means quietness, it is less crowded. There are some shops, restaurants and a pharmacy in the neighborhood.

United KingdomI was offered a meal at the pizza/pasta restaurant one night as a bonus treat for being there 7 nights but nothing except risotto was gluten free and I could have paella in the buffet restaurant if I wanted rice. I was charged €20 for a late checkout even though it was only two hours after normal check out time. This seems excessive. I would have expected that for four hours late but not two. No free water with dinner if half board.
Great room, great location. Staff were mostly lovely and friendly. The food was decent at breakfast and dinner. Good gluten free options. Nice big pool. Gym was OK.

Ukrainecold water in the ocean. and so windy I was freezing. I went into ocean two times for 1 minute and back - just to tick the box - I "swam" in the Atlantic :) The outdoor pool was also cold for me, I did not swim there. But the indoor pool with +28 degrees water - was perfect. I soaked there and then sunbathed outside (it was cold before I dried :)) No complain to the hotel about that - just my perceive
quiet room and place, view from balcony to the ocean and the sand mountain, relaxing ambiance, good food, music and drinks, everything on time. This is 18+ hotel, mostly mature couples are staying there (the same as us), this stay was like a retreat - the place seems to be a bit remote but I knew where I go. Available shuttle from the airport and some public transport to the nearest town, the views are amazing, like an inhabited planet, bare soils and sands, stones, ocean with blue water, yellow sands and wind. Few people. I was so tired from work and life, this stay helped me to recover and recharge. My first time with Canarian - overall it is a good all-inclusive, but cold ocean. This time of the year for this money - nothing was warmer.

EstoniaNot a minus per se, because it was to be expected, but the noisy after dinner karaoke was a sour listen. Dinner was lovely, but one night there was a pretty long queue, which tested my patience.

United KingdomCosta Calma had nothing going for it. Hotel charged to use room safe. They charged if you wanted clean pool towels. Coffee shop opened 1pm but coffee machine needed further 20 mins to warm up. Room 2324 was under restaurant and therefore very noisy at meal times inc 7.30am for breakfast. Main indoor bar too small for number of guests - never seats in bar after dinner.
Hotel room spacious, comfortable and kept very clean. Good value for all inclusive.

United KingdomThe only thing we didn’t like was the poolside bar/cafe, the food was terrible.
Although it’s a big hotel it didn’t seem too crowded. The beach is very nice and the sea warm. The restaurant is busy but the food was good and staff very friendly.

United KingdomLong way to the crazy golf, then you had to go back to reception for the clubs and balls. The entertainment wasn't advertised very well but from what we heard from our close-by room it WAS very good most nights.
Food was plentiful. Quality quite good. Cleaning team were brilliant. Pool looked lovely but too cold unless you were very brave! Reception very good. Valentine's Night food and presentation was excellent.

United KingdomDuring our stay they were relaying the pool tiles using a drill to take off the old ones so couldn't use the pool area for a couple of days due to the noise
Excellent hotel. Great location. Reception staff were lovely and received an upgrade which was unexpected! Room was clean, comfy beds and buffet food was great, especially the grill section. Yoga on the beach was amazing 😊

United KingdomThe pools were too cold for us. I would have appreciated tissues in the room and two sun beds would have been nice on the large sunny balcony. The bathroom had an unpleasant smell, we did report it and it was ok after housekeeping had been but smell of drains returned each day.
The staff, food and facilities were very good, Giovanny was excellent, he was all over the food and beverage facilities and the waiting/serving staff. Our room was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the entertainment each evening. The location was a little remote but an easy walk into the town of Costa Calma.

United KingdomOur room was close to the elevator that is very noisy! I should have asked to change room as at 6am in the morning was very annoying! The reception is too small and be prepared t queue even to ask a simple information. The cocktail selection was a bit limited
The room was big and clean, I loved we had 3 pillows. The pool area is lovely and the hotel has direct access to the beach. The buffet is great, we had breakfast and dinners and there was plenty of choice! You can refill the water for free

IrelandMy constructive feedback - the gym space only opening from 8:30am (from 7am would be great). Also some music playing at the gym space would be great too (doesn't have to be too loud just something playing in the background to break the silence). Music at the swimming pool - again it doesn't have to be too loud but it would help improving overall atmosphere. Still recommend the hotel these are just minor points.
Great facilities and super friendly staff - loved the little treat from the ladies at the Despacio spa when I booked a massage on my bday day. Also loved the treat from the hotel again on my bday day. Great service from the beginning with the lady at the reception being very welcoming and friendly when we checked in. Thank you all.

United KingdomVery little to whinge about here - as always, I'm unimpressed by the pillows - although they just about did the job for the week - any longer and I think my neck would have started to complain!
The Hotel is beautiful. Smart, clean, quiet. We had a lovely 7 night stay. The pools are lovely - if a bit cold! We stayed on a B&B basis, which suited us as we went out into the town of an evening to eat out. Breakfast was plentiful and of a good quality. There's a snack bar by the pool for lunch - nothing special but the food was tasty and kept us going until dinner. There are enough sunbeds for the residents - certainly in mid-September - and we even spent a day on the beach for a change of scenery. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The shower was hot and powerful and the housekeeping was efficient. Our balcony overlooked the pool area and we had a good sea view. There were entertainments during the day and evening - we played minigolf and water polo. Entertainers in the evening supplied music and dancing. We also had a massage in the spa, and a spell in the jacuzzi. Very relaxing! The town of Costa Calma is spread out for quite a way, so we didn't go further than about half an hour walk. There are half a dozen great restaurants there; we'd recommend B-side for a lovely relaxing dinner with a cool vibe, and El Pellizco (just opposite) for a proper high end night out. The 555 Tapas restaurant above the Spar is also superb. The staff are helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone spoke excellent English and didn't laugh at my pidgeon Spanish. The beer is very good and the cocktails on the roof terrace at the end of the night rounded off a perfect day here. Overall, we were blown away by how nice this hotel is. It's so lovely to have peace and quiet without screaming kids! The architecture is very tasteful and it's so clean. There are even a couple of cats who wander around making friends. We saw the 'Privilege' area, but to be honest, I'm not sure it would be worth it to upgrade as it didn't seem you got much more for the upgrade.
