How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewComfortable room with everything you need. Although worth noting if traveling as two adults needing separate sleeping quarters, the bedroom wall has a large cut out at the top of the wall so good luck if traveling with a snorer! The pool was fine but not open when advertised which didn't bother us but dissappointed little kids waiting for a swim on a very hot day. The location is good if you're after somewhere quiet on the outskirts of the city. Ample free street parking in front of the hotel made traveling with a rental car super easy. Check-in is farcical which isn't the staff's fault and they helped but it was ridiculously onerous and the next day there was a disgruntled mob waiting to check in when the machine broke down and reception wasn't manned until midday. If they sorted out check in and the pool, it could be a great hotel. There's a good cafe for breakfast next door too.
Check in was a nightmare. Felt sorry for the staff who had to take over where the machine failed.

Our room’s airconditioning was not working properly, upon complaining a pedestal fan was provided and we were told that hotel was fully booked so they couldn’t move us to other room. Barcelona is ho these days now imagine what happened to us, we couldn’t get a comfortable sleep, sweating all time in our room.

Room wasn’t prepared with the extra bed made, and towels and bedding was not available. It took multiple calls and talks with security guard who was unable to help. No blanket was ever delivered. No amenities was available in the kitchen. Pool only available after 12 and until 20, so if going to the city, the pool was not available for use. Room was very sterile, making them very noisy and you could hear what happens on the entire floor any the ones above and below. Reception closed before fixing our missing bedding, and didn’t open for the rest of our 3 night stay.

Verified reviewThe hotel has a swimming pool where children can have a great time
The facilities are very old, especially the air conditioning system doesn't cool at all! There were no staff members at the front desk after 7 p.m. So, when I found the air conditioning cooling problem on the first night of my stay, it was already past 8 p.m. I tried to call the emergency contact number left by the front desk. After getting through, I informed them of the problem I had encountered. I told them: I set the air conditioning in my room to the lowest level. It has been on for over an hour, but the current indoor temperature is actually 29 degrees Celsius... However, the other party replied to me nonchalantly: "We can't solve the problem at the moment. Open the window. It will be cooler (38 degrees Celsius outside that day)..." It was so hot and muggy that I opened the window at night. But that day seemed to be some festival, and there was the sound of fireworks setting off nearby all the time. It was so noisy that I couldn't fall asleep at all, and I also had to worry about safety problem...the following days are the same, noboday come to solve the problem! Besides, the hotel's rule that "towels can only be changed for free every three days and cleaning can only be done for free every seven days" is really speechless...
