Our arrival at the hotel coincided with the Spanish electricity outage! Initially the doors to the hotel wouldn’t open - same with the bedroom doors. But the very apologetic owner and his wife managed to open the front door so we could leave our luggage. We left them to sort out the problem and when we returned they had managed to open the rooms. Later in the evening the power had been restored, and we had a very comfortable night in the hotel. The next morning we were offered breakfast, and when we went to pay the owner refused payment and again apologised for the inconvenience. So kind ☺️

Had there been power we had planned to eat at the hotel restaurant, which has a great menu and reputation. We’d like to return to sample the food as well as the lovely hotel.

The room was a bit of an old style and the shower extremely small and narrow

Friendly staff, good bed and nice bathroom. Included breakfast.

Noisy from folks in hallway. View was not great because I was on the backside of building

Our train was delayed by a few hours and the owner waited up to let us in past midnight. He had a secure space to store our bicycles. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices.

The shower was small but worked just fine.

Location and staff were great.

The shower was falling apart. The doors were off the rails and the shower head was cracked and so the water was coming out sideways and hitting the wall. It looked like it had been this way for a while and not a new issue.

The location is excellent, just outside of León's historic walls.

A little run down and too much decoration and motives that don't help feel like it's clean and confortable place. We had people talking outside of our window late into the night.

Clean hotel, great location near cathedral, comfortable beds, lots of hot water for shower. €5 breakfast!

Location was perfect

Bed sheets were really cheap and too small so came off the bed constantly. The bathroom was tiny. Not big enough for anyone over 6ft.

The location is prime and the building feels very traditional with an engaging atmosphere. What makes this place special among any other place I stayed at during my almost 3 weeks in Spain, though, was the host, Bernard. He immediately learned my first name and I noticed that he also recalled first names of most of the other guests, of which there were many. When I inquired whether I could get hot water for tea he personally heated water for me and carried it to my room with a carafe, teacup, saucer and spoon. He also allowed me to store my luggage and spend several hours at the facility after I had checked out, since my train leaving Leon was later in the day. Bernard welcome to me like a family member, and I noticed that he had this same manner with every single guest. It’s truly a special place. I

The location was ideal and the building was nice. The bed was comfortable. The shower was great.

The wi-fi would only connect. Not actually work. The TV also seemed to be having a bad day. The toilet is difficult to sit on as the sink is too large and doesn't give you any leg room
