No air con and fan was not sufficient for the heat of the room

Staff were really helpful and let us leave our bags the next morning. Shared bathrooms are also really clean and we didn’t bump into anyone whilst using them.

Weird artificial smell in the room, it was really hot and no airconditioning only a noicy fan, lots of people coming and going late at night that wakes you up if you’re a light sleeper

Location was good, very central for exploring the central part and neighborhoods of Madrid. Room was spacious for two people and clean. On the floor are 3 bathrooms for 6 rooms and all of them have been clean.

Pictures are asthetic and clean, not what the walls and floor actually looks like. Room is not the same as in the picture; (it is very simillar.) Also the mattress will not give the best night sleep. But I wouldn't take the value off for that because it is a very well priced hostel in this location. What I did find very disturbing was the towel given for showering. I am pretty sure Staff would be kind enough to change it, but at that moment it was too late; I already used it. Towel had brown marks, somewhere pink stains (it was freshly washed but with few large stains). The last thing, but that was completely my fault for not reading before - no kitchen at all. I am usually staying at hostels where it is included but this time I forgot to check.

Both staff members, lady and gentlemen, were very polite and hepful; they are the asset to this place. Shower itself was good with good pressure and temperature. Clean bed covers and pillowcases. We had a exterrior balcony with view to the market. Despite the location, it was very quiet. it is very good place to stay for short period. (Staff members turned rating from 6 to 7)

The down door was really hard to open, and we always had to ring the bell to enter the building. One of the employes was a bit rude at the start, but then turned out to be kind.

Room only was used to get a few hours of sleep after a red-eye arrival of 5am. Checked in at 6am and checked out at 11am. Enough time to get a short sleep and feel refreshed for the balance of the day.

There was no window in the room, so there was always hot, even with fan. The room is not ventilated at all. All in all it was a good value for the price.

The location is perfect, right in the city center. All sightseeings are in walking distance. The room was clean and the staff was nice and always ready to help.

For the price, nothing was disappointing. I wouldn't recommend the hostel for a long stay and also maybe not if you are together, but I was travelling alone and my expectations were more than met.

Very friendly welcome at the reception, clear explanation of how keys and room access worked, willing to hold luggage at no extra cost. The hostel has a perfect location for a short city break, right in the heart of the center. There was a good functioning fan to fight the heat and the public bathrooms were very clean and there were enough of them, for the number of rooms. The value for money at this hostel is excellent and Madrid has become my new FCF ( favourite city forever)
