The location

The bed was not very comfortable

Clean, Quiet, convenient location.

Shower not stay on place, had to hold with a hand all time. Also was not fixed after requested. Central water heating was on (on summer), radiator valve could not be fully closed.

The place is in a terrific location and it appears to have been recently constructed/renovated in an older building. The shower deserves a mention, because it was one of the first in a place at this price level that had a good drain so watered and spill all over the floor. Little things help. The elevator on the other hand is quite old with a balky door that should be fixed. Most impressive was when I asked the guy on duty who was standing at the street entrance where I could get a bottle of water. He told me to wait and he ran off down the street toward the Carrefour convenience store. I mean really ran full tilt! How often does anybody else experience that reaction? The guy would not even take money from me when I offered to pay for it, as a well should, and even declined my offer to buy him a beer – no no he said he was working. From my various travels, acts of exceptional service – both on the good and the bad side – tend to be remembered. I’ll remember this guy and come back to this hotel again. But please don’t pay much attention to what I say and other travelers should go to other places so this one doesn’t get too popular and the prices shoot up. Then I will kick myself for having written this note praising them.

As noted, the elevator needs work

Comfortable bed. Great air-conditioning. Also the perfect location right in the heart of Madrid for anything you need. Staff were lovely and helpful. Everything was clean :). Rooms were a little small but good enough for a solo Traveller! And esspecially for the price.

Reception was not always there when you needed them in the times they said so when you needed something half the time they were out. Not a big deal. But if you needed help asap it would be a worry. I also prefer a swipe card and you need to use a key. Just remember to lock the door when you leave and go in because I didnt realise till a few nights that I wasn't locking my door properly thinking it was automatic. No fault of owner/company though I guess. Just my negligence.

Near in the centre

Unfortunately, the hostel had a FLEA INFESTATION. Both my friend and I were bitten all over our bodies, and despite informing the management, they did not take any responsibility or offer support.

My friend and I had traveled from different parts of Europe to meet in Madrid, and this hostel was our first stop. The day after our arrival, we discovered we were both covered in FLEA bites. We left immediately, informed the management, and provided clear photographic evidence. Instead of taking responsibility, the management dismissed our experience. They claimed that after cleaning the room, they didn’t find anything—completely missing the point that fleas are extremely hard to detect in daylight due to their size and ability to jump. They offered no compensation or support, and implied we were making it up. They said they would follow up after a second cleaning, but we never heard from them again. I would not go back again and advise others to think twice before booking with them.

The room was clean.

It was a lot smaller than what we had expected. No kettle, no iron, even with an ironing board. Quite noisy when neighbours came home at night. Very very small, hard to move with 2 people in the room.

Third bed was pretty uncomfortable. Towels could be refreshed at least once during the stay

Great location and very helpful staff, especially Juan.

Central, most things were an easy walk away. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. 24 hour cover on reception.

Refrigerator didn’t work but it got replaced fairly quickly. No kettle, which we found a little irritating. Annoying neighbours on our last night, TV on loud way beyond midnight.
