The instructions for how to access the hostal were vague making it difficult to enter.

I stayed here at Hostel Bayón at the beginning of walking the Camino. I stayed here for two nights, arriving here in the evening the first night. I really liked the location. It was easy to find and close to the bus station, train station, grocery stores, the cathedral, and restaurants. The host was very friendly and very helpful. I would highly recommend this hostel.

Shared bathroom was clean and tidy but toilet is in serious need of upgrade. Old style cistern does not flush adequately. Needed to hold chain for several minutes to get rid of paper etc

Delightful old house, nice sized room with high ceiling. Nice host, good reception and excellent location with really affordable price. The most comfortable bed I had during my trip to Spain. I would definitely recommend this place 10/10

The toilet flush did not work well as the water pressure was not strong enough so it took several attempts to flush but it is probably due to it being an old building.

The host was very helpful. She provided free coffee and tea and I was able to store my luggage after I checked out. The lift was very convenient. It was nice to have a sink in my room and the location is close to both the bus station and the historic part of town.

Great location ten minutes from the Cathedral and 10 minutes to the train and bus station. I found out about this place on Buen Camino and it was great. There is a shared bathroom but in my private room I had a shower and sink. The bed was comfortable and the room was warm. For just a few euros more than the hostels, this is a great option for pilgrims on the Camino francés.

Zero dislikes!

A superb peaceful oasis in the centre of a busy shopping and nightlife district. The location is excellent and is located less than 5 minutes away from Leon Cathedral and surrounding bars and restaurants. The property itself is well maintained and has a very homely feel as you enter. The lady owner was extremely kind and helpful and does everything to make your stay there comfortable. For me, it’s the only place I will stay when I visit Leon.
