It's very personal, and not hotel's fault, but if you're a light sleeper, there is a church bell next door and bizarelly it DOES go on through the night every 15mins. My partner slept through it without any problems, so it won't affect everyone, but I slept very badly that night.

This hotel was such an unexpected highlight of our cycling trip! It is in the middle of a medieval village called Capmany, so the setting is really spectacular. The hotel itself is a historic building, and the room was HUGE. Shower was modern and we had tonnes of space. Really straight forward check in with codes, and very bike friendly.

When entering the room there was a bad smell from the bathroom, but after turning on the bathroom ventilation it disappeared.

Location in the very center. Very responsive staff/hosts. Rooms and all the atmosphere are outstanding.

This is one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed at. I stopped here for a few days to rest on a bike trip, and I hope to return with my wife for a romantic weekend in the future. The rooms are huge, spacious, and perfectly designed. The beds are comfortable and breakfast was fantastic as well.

Nothing to Do with property but the only restaurant option for dinner because everything else closed was not great. The did however do a good typical Catalan breakfast and were very friendly

Great location in the well appointed village of Capmany. Listing does not do this place justice - really highly recommended. Host was very accommodating. Breakfast in the nearby restaurant was a delight!

The neighboring backyard was occupied by a large dog, who was barking from 8 o’clock in the evening and into the night! It also acted as an alarm clock in the morning, so our sleep was very much affected. Furthermore, the Wi Fi was too slow for streaming on our iPad.

Beautiful renovation with lots of respect for authenticity. Actually the whole village is a likewise nice place to stay. Further the ease of accessing the facility. There is no reception but you receive in advance all electronic locking codes. Very well organised.

The "double bed" were just twin beds pushed/rolled together which drifted apart. We had just simple bottom sheets/bedsheets and a heavier (day) blanket and would have preferred a proper duvet/bedding coverd with a full bedsheet. The breakfast in the nearby restaurant was a little plain (only white bread, no fruits, no other options than meat or cheese).

Beautiful refurbished location with medieval charm in the heart of Capmany. Free bottle of wine on the room. Big apartment with large balcony. Clean bathroom.

Only downside to me was the bed, which I found was too hard to sleep on.

The room is spacious, very clean and cozy and has a good temperature. In my personal opinion, the bed is too hard to sleep in but this is personal for each person and they have a sofa-bed that is very comfortable! There is extra blankets on the shelf in case it gets cold at night. With the room comes a bottle of wine too!!! Really nice gesture. The town is very charming and the food tastes better than in the city. I would recommend can xicu to everybody, even as a lone traveler, they have common areas and books to borrow so you can disconnect from reality and immerse yourself in exciting stories while resting in a comfortable and very quiet place.
