How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

It is no frills, but I didn't need them.
I was caught short, having to make a booking at 1 am. I was very relieved to find this place. It is a very honest place: cheap, no AC, but clean and functional with decent size rooms and a basin (at least in my room). There is a fan, and the bathroom wasn't crowded and clean. The staff were good, friendly and professional.

The conditions of the room were not the greatest, it needs lots of maintenance, because, the floor and the furniture is not in the best conditions, also the room had a really strong smell of smoke.
The location is great, it's five minutes away from "Puerta del Sol". Also, the staff is very nice.

The shower didn't have a support on the wall. There was something but it was broken. The bathtub didn't have a plug and the wardrobe didn't have a door.
The bed was confortable and everything was clean

You can hear everything happening in the hall, other rooms, and bathrooms. It was a bit hard to sleep.

For the fact that the hotel located at the 4th floor and it’s without Elevator,it’s kind of no go area for me that have kids and luggage again.
The room and toilet is neat with the receptionist are nice too

We didn't expect a lift, but it was good exercise. The hotel was kind enough to give us a locker after we checked out and before going to the airport. Initial the shower was spoilt in our room, after some cajoling, the hotel staff change the room for us though we have to climb 2 more floors

There are air conditioners in every room. When asked how to turn them on I was answered "the air conditioners for the whole building do not work". I don't believe that is true but I can't say for sure. It wasn't too hot during my stay (mid June) but could be a challenge depending on when you stay.

About the internet 🛜 connection is very poor in the room 48 it’s to hard to connect so I’m going out in the room going to the hall way to connect the WiFi so I’m stay there for a while because I need it to used to contact to my friends and my family.
We had breakfast outside. The locations is good 👍

Not a really spacious double room it looked like a small room . No AC in the room so it’s hot inside ( they provide you a fan).
A really nice cleaning ( staff) , location top and comfy bed & pillow hehe.

Well, the rooms & the bathrooms should be renovated. The are too old. There is an old air condition on the wall (visible also at the photos here on booking) without external part. It’s actually out of order. Morning 1st of September was a little bit hot… during the night with the window open it was ok. I cannot imagine staying in July-August. There’s no soundproofing. The whole morning I was listening to alarms from other rooms that kept waking me up. During the night fortunately I was very very tired to hear a thing. The luggage store is on charge, which is not visible at the beginning on booking… when you search more, you find it. 3€ for a very small locker 5€ for a medium one 7€ for a big one.
The location is central. You can go around on foot. The staff is helpful.

The accommodations were very basic. No elevator. In terms of safety, there were homeless people (4 to 5)sleeping on the sidewalk of a bookstore one block away.
The location was excellent. Personel was helpful and professional. Bathroom and room were clean.
