Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

The rooms are quite small and basic. Still, good value for money- it' a pension, not hotel.
Great location in the heart of the old town, very authentic local bar downstairs (delicious tapas).

We managed the very steep stairs but they could be a problem if you had bad knees and a lot of luggage.
The location was perfect. The view from the roof top patio by our room was breathtaking. Even though the bar was filled with a lively local crowd, we couldn’t hear it from our room.

I booked my stay, the nite before. My arrival, was earlier than expected. I was expecting to wait but, I was able to check in and place my belongings in my room, with No problem. Very accommodating, all around. Not only this...the Bar/ Café downstairs, has Lactose Free milk, which was helpful in that, Not All places in España have this. The Staff/ Family, are very sweet and helpful.

Bedding sheets could be slightly better quality , however everything was clean and in good condition Breakfast is sandwich but i guess i didn’t understand the concept so got only bread and few slices of tomato.
Rooms are above in the very heart of old town. Lively area, nice bar downstairs. The room was inside the building so no noise disturbances in the evening. Aircon was working great and room was cooled before my arrival Room is very clean and has everything you need. Bathroom is renovated so perfect Great price as well On the roof of the building is cool terrace

Perfect location. Rooms have been completely renovated since we last stayed her 7 years ago. The rooms are small but great for a short stay. We would definitely repeat!

It was a long walk up to the place from the nearest parking garage and information on the limited public transport option was non existent
It was a really local place with a great vibe and right at the great of the old town so a perfect place to wander around from. Our deal included dinner and breakfast which were fine but there were lots of other options around as well so there was lack of choice

Getting there by car is quite a feat, as you have to drive along extremely narrow streets. I stopped by the nearby convent to unload luggage and then drove further down the road towards the city exit. However, once you're there you don't need the car as you are right in the centre of Arcos. I can't say much about breakfast since it is served only after 9am and we had to live way earlier.
Right in the city centre, excellent position. Nice terrace and comfortable rooms, with efficient A/C. The room was clean and the staff helpful. For the price, it was an excellent stay!

Hotel very well located, clean rooms, very nice staff, very tasty breakfast. You can park your car in the el paseo car park and use the free shuttle bus. Driving alone in narrow streets requires practice

Breakfast was simple (as was known).
Fantastic location, beautiful view from rooftop terrace, helpfull staff. Unbeatable deal for this price. Small but clean and cute rooms. The drive up by free local bus is a treat in itself. You can park in the parkinggarage at the foot of the hill, the bus passes by every 30 minutes. Parking fee is reduced after having your ticket stamped by the hotel.
