Nothing. Others though, might not like the small olde style lift/elevator but that's old buildings for you and pretty standard in Benalmádena.

Excellent location, but no parking. If you know the are though (as we do) there's a free car park behind the train station. You just have to move your car for market days. Staff were super friendly, with 24/7 reception. The breakfast was superb and great value. No complaints, will stay again.

Unfortunately because of the layout of the building the noise echos through the middle of the building so you can hear everything, especially if you are in a solo room. It doesnt bother me much but it can disturb your sleep.

Great value for money, location is perfect, and since their refurbishment the place looks great. I love staying here. The staff are lovely. And It's always very clean.

Great location, right in the middle of the town. Great staff, reception open 24 hours. Really modern and recently renovated. Great rooms, spacious with lovely shower and comfy bed with air con! Wasn’t expecting much being a ‘hostel’ but far exceed my expectations

It’s simple and the single rooms are small. With no window to the outside but at this amazing low nightly rate they are very good value.

It’s great value for money. Lovely friendly staff. Always helpful. Very safe area. Lots of places to eat and drink on the doorstep. Perfect as a base when travelling along the coast as the train station is 3 mins walk away!

There was nothing not to like. Everything suited us perfectly.

We liked everything. The Hostal was very clean. The staff were very helpful, polite and friendly. Someone always on reception. Useful having a bar. Great location. There is nothing not to like. If we need to stay in this Area again would would choose Hostal Sol y Miel. Ticks all the boxes.

I booked sol y miel for the location, but being a 2 star hostel wasn't expecting much. I was very supprised by the total service given by all of the staff, it was very clean, will stay there again.

Staff, superb, especially the Young man. The lobby was also worth ten points. Open 24/7, always staff there ready for help You. You could also get drinks from the bar whenever You want. Work in the lobby and at a little terrace. Have a nice breakfast too. Location could not be better

there was no hot water for the first couple of days but the room temperature made it a pleasure to have a cold shower, but as soon as I mentioned it to reception it was dealt with straight away. On our first night, the occupants in the room above ours were very noisy but after that it was fine.

Great location, in the middle of everything. The room was clean and had all we needed. we were 3 older guys on a Stag trip so we didn't need much luxury. We, were out and about most of the time.

Walls are thin..Shower was powerful but had to hold it because the attachment was loose which the shower head hung on..

Location to train station..sea front..bars and eateries everything was on the doorstep .. Balcony was nice .just sit and watch the world go by. Staff were Friendly !!

No waste paper bin in bedroom, the 3rd time I have had things binned off the dressing table, either gift box's and water bottles . Seriously please sort it out as then it is clear what is rubbish. The tiny bin in bathroom is not adequate. Also very clean on arrival but the floors are never swept or mopped, not nice after a few days. Also the sink is not cleaned. No do not enter please sign its annoying when the cleaner knocks or let's herself in

Noise from Neighbouring rooms can be heard way to clearly. It felt like they were present in your room it was that loud. Maybe put up a sign to ask other guests to keep noise down at night.

Nice room with balcony, clean, everything worked,eg.aircon,tv,shower,very comfortable beds.There was a small balcony that looked down on to bars and shops so we could people watch.Very close to station and taxis.

perhaps some drawers in the room would have been a bonus and perhaps a mini fridge would have been a great asset to keep drinks cool

The room was adequate for a solo person and had air conditioning and a ceiling fan. It was kept very clean during my stay with a change of towels every day. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
