How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The room wasn't ready and we had to wait in the hall. The cleaning lady was very nice and doing her best to finish. From reception, they didn't say anything, and we were doing the check-in as requested, not before check-in time. We had to cross the street to the other building, and there are no elevators, nor is there anyone to explain anything. The hall is dark, we had no idea how to light it up it wouldn't work at first...The next day we had to go outside of the building through another door since the entry through the bar side was closed but NOBODY told us the day before.And it was not that early in the morning.
The place for staying is decent. The nature around is beautiful as a place to spend a night.

Great value for money. Very central location, good breakfast, Esterri is a lovely town to visit with friendly people and great scenery. Wonderful restaurant is attached to the hostel and we loved the extra communal living room with games, TV and view to the park

The room was older and in autumn little cold. The sheets had holes in it. There was only a sheet with a blanket, not a proper quilt. The bath looked older and used.
Nice breakfast with a lot of choices. Private parking for the hotel without fees.

I should've booked a longer stay!!
Delicious and big breakfast selection, LOVELY staff, my bed was so comfy I slept 9hrs every night!! Great parking jn a private area and the evening restaurant is great for dining - I travelled alone and felt comfortable and content the whole time!

Room was enough small and it will be better to put here double bed instead of two single beds. Facilities enough old but make the job.

We liked everything, also keeping in mind the price we paid. The only thing which have made our stay even better would have been a more comfortable bed. WIF also had some connection problems once and a while in the room itself.
Easily reachable hostal in a cosy city, being managed by a very friendly couple and nice staff. Cosy terrace in the garden to enjoy the delicious food at a very fair price (both menu formule as à la Carte). Breakfast buffet offered a lot of variation including freshly pressed orange juice. Private parking available for the guests. We truly recommend this hostal!

Check in was done in the bar in front, which was a bit difficult to figure out. The shower head had been dripping on the bathroom floor before we arrived, so the room felt humit and it was less pleasant to sleep in. No elevator.
The room was basic but covered our needs and we were able to get a rest.

Nothing, only have good things to say about our stay!
I liked verything about the property - we had an amazing stay and everything went really well! To list a few : the perfect location for hikes and restaurants / patisseria nearby, the very kind hosts, the parking (huge time saver), the buffet breakfast, the possibility to have drinks or dinner at the hotel restaurant downstairs, super clean and tidy room, hot showers, the garden to relax after hiking …!

For the price we paid it exceeded my expectations
The dinner was always amazing! I totally recommend to eat dinner here while you’re staying. Carlos the owner was also very nice to us and took his time to understand our requests and help! i will definitely come back
