There was no air conditioning in the room (which I was aware of) but the ceiling fan is a bit noisy. It didn’t bother me because I sleep through anything.

Pigal is a great little place. I got a recommendation from a friend who stayed here and it was worth it. Xavier, his wife and the entire staff were stellar. The room was small but comfortable and the location was great, just a few mins walk from the train station and everything else in Terragona. I stayed in a single room with an external private bathroom that was clean which is very important to me. The common area is a great spot to connect with the other visitors. If you ever stop in Terragona, I would highly recommend Pigal.

Great location - a block from La Rambla Nova and walking distance to everything! The front desk staff was kind, helpful and professional. The owner is actively involved in all aspects of the hotel and it shows in the quality and cleanliness of the property. I would highly recommend Hotel Pigal for a stay in beautiful Tarragona.

We love Pigal with its pleasnt home atmosphere and very friendly staff. We stayed here second time and spent a great week of our holiday in Tarragona. The hotel is situated in the city center close to the nice Miracle beach and market, shops and restorants. Room is simple wth a convenient bed and a TV, wth a good shower in the bathroom. In the kitchen you can use a refrigerator to keep your food, a kettle to make a tea, to buy a tasty coffee from coffemachine; there're some dishes, and also a shelf with the books - everything what you need for your daily life. This is a good place to meet and communicate with other people. Thanks a lot, Pigal!

Area around the Hotel can feel a bit seedy sometimes but is perfectly safe.

I have stayed here before so knew what to expect.Cosy,comfortable,friendly. Good location 5 mins from train station,20 mins from bus station and 15 mins to centre of city for sights restaurants etc. Communal Dining area and fridge to use if want to eat in.All fine. Was able to leave luggage after check out and collect later for late flight.

Great location. Close to city center, 5 minutes walk to Train Station. 2 mins walk to Supermarket. The room is clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly. We enjoyed our stay in the hotel. Highly recommended!

Little packets of shower gel, no shampoo. A dispenser would be better.

Friendly welcome and efficient service. The room was clean, comfortable and had all that I needed. The location is very convenient - a short walk from the bus station and right in the centre of town. The provision of mugs, plates, cutlery, fridge etc is a real bonus - it is so convenient to have a hot drink and to be able to bring your own food and eat it there.

Excellent quality for the price. Staff were very helpful and forthcoming, able to explain all the necessary questions and to give indications regarding visiting the city and the surroundings. The hotel is situated in the city center but on a very quiet street, within walking distance to the train and bus stations, and a ten-minute walk to the main beach of the city.

We chose Pigal on the basis of the very positive reviews - and, happily, found the reviews to be spot on. Xavier is a warm and hospitable host, who took time to advise (wittily) on the best places to see during our 24 hours in Tarragona and how best to get to them. The hotel is ideally located, in a central but quiet street. Our room was quite small, but the bed was large and comfortable.

Great location, super friendly and helpful staff. Xavi was very welcoming and provided loads of information about the city and local area. Beach towels and umbrellas are available to borrow. Room was small but great for a solo traveller. Excellent value for money.

Xavier was a lovely host and incredibly involved in the comfort of his guests, which he all knows by name. He gave great advice for the city. I hope you get to take a break soon, Xavier. The room was lovely, as we're the amenities. Everything was clearly well thought through, up to the little details. For instance I was very happy to see, that the shower had a holder for my shower stuff, a thing which weirdly enough way too many places don't offer. (This is a pet peeve of mine.) Special highlight were the beach towels and umbrellas you could borrow.

I’d read all the reviews and found that what had been said before is certainly true. We are an older couple cycling the coast of Spain and the value and welcome here was amazing. Hector checked us in and was wonderful as was his boss Xavier the next day. Bought us coffee and chatted. His wife was also so friendly. Decor was great and place for bikes in the eating area caused no problems. Thank you all so much!

Large rock hard pillow so not easy to sleep and didn’t ask for a different one.

Lovely welcoming, well informed and friendly staff. Everyone very helpful. Great facilities for taking meals and super clear instructions. Lovely smooth jazz music to relax with so all the guests were mirroring that. Very clean and aesthetically pleasing decor to my taste. Plus they had towels to use for the beach.

Everything, the staff are so helpful and friendly, facilities excellent, you can buy your own food out and prepare and eat it in a lovely setting, the location of the hotel was perfect for getting around the city.

A great budget hotel. We had a clean, pleasant, comfortable en-suite double for 1 night. A good size, simply but adequately furnished and a very good shower. Though close to the city centre, it was on a quiet back street with little noise even on a Saturday night. The communal lounge had useful facilities for light self-catering and was an interesting relaxed place to spend time in - thoughtfully equipped and presented. The young man on reception (Artem) was terrific - friendly, outgoing and extremely helpful with information and assistance to make our stay a pleasure. We really enjoyed our stay and it offered great value for money. We would certainly stay here again.
