How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewA house and garden with many corners. The view from the Mirador is breathtaking. Be sure to take the evening meal, it is good as is the Trepad wine. We missed the space exploration with the telescope because of the clouds so we will have to come back.

Although totally delicious and great to offer as the place is quite isolated, the portion sizes at dinner would benefit from being bigger especially for those who have hiked all day!

As for what you said about dinner, we try to respond to the usual demand of customers nowadays (and more at Christmas time), which is to opt for menus that are not too heavy, but balanced in terms of carbohydrates and proteins, and with vegetarian options if requested. We do not know what you eat at lunchtime, many customers go to restaurants at lunchtime and usually ask us for light dinners. However, we have no problem with you asking us to repeat any of the dishes we serve, on the contrary, we love it.

Verified reviewThe location, mirador and atmosphere of the accomodation were incredidble! Also the host was absolutely great, so friendly and kind.
The bathroom was a bit too simple and the shower very tiny. The house is very noisy. You can hear the other guest talking and taking a shower, and getting upstairs etc. The dinner was very good but they served it out superfast, which didn’t give you the time to have a quality dinner.

Mas de l'Arlequi is a 17th century farmhouse that has been renovated, and in which we have made the maximum effort to make you comfortable within the possibilities of the house, including soundproofing. It is a farmhouse that is located in the middle of nature where there is no noise, apart from that of natural sounds, by this I mean that, being such a quiet environment, the sounds of the house are heard much more than in other places. I recently stayed in a newly built hotel (and of good category) with similar characteristics, and you could also hear what was happening outside. As for dinner, we serve it according to the pace at which you eat, when you finish the first course, the second is served at a certain interval of time and trying not to have to wait too long. I remember that you tried to cancel your stay the day before your arrival because you thought the weather would be bad, and we told you that unfortunately it was not possible at such short notice. I hope that this refusal has not influenced the perception of your stay.

Verified reviewThe landscape was just speechless! This house was much much better than it was shown in the pictures on the website. I didn’t imagine this place would be this good! Host are very helpful and has very high standards on living such as food, wines and interiors. If you love wines Alvar would recommend good wineries around there. Even the owner of winery was such a good person. Room condition was also very nice, smells of herb was so relaxing. I love this place and would love to come back again! There are so many places for tracking and if you go atracking Piga will be accompanied :-)

Verified reviewExcellent space to get away from the bustle of city/ town life. It is very quiet. Lots of walking trails nearby which Alvar will happily discuss. Piga (the dog) is great company for these walks. Small pool is nice for the end of a hot day's walking. Views are incredible just out the back or on walks. Nearby village (15 min walk) has a nice pub/restaurant, but with limited hours. Dinner can be served on request at a reasonable price - delicious with home-grown vegetables. Good recommendations for local wines available; cold drinks also available throughout the day.
Roads, in areas, are very 'rural' - not paved and some hair-pin bends. Seat Ibiza hire car managed fine though.

The room could have been deep cleaned a little bit more. Overall it was very clean but I found a lot of hair throughout my room.
