Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The room was quite dark, with small windows towards an inner court. We found the hotel a bit overpriced.
The shower was great and we very much appreciated to receive a bath tube with all accessories for our baby. The beds were very comfy and the location was perfect.

Restaurant in average and bathroom of the Junior Suite really small and not very comfortable!

Very helpful reception staff. I was very grateful they let us keep one room for a bit longer, so I could shower after running the marathon. Big rooms, very comfortable beds. Nice quiet location.

Great hotel, clean room and comfortable beds. Fantastic location just a 3 minute walk from the metro. Good choice for breakfast and fantastic restaurant with delicious food at very reasonable prices.

No ‘proper bar’ area. When at restaurant/bar area on our first evening. No beer, no Bacardi, no Vodka !!! Not asking for too much to be fair. Apart from the beer it remained the same for the duration of our stay. No drawers in the rooms for undies etc.
Clean & comfortable. Free WiFi. Free toiletries. Within an area familiar to us.

We stayed in the first-floor room and the windows were closed and not possible to open. Also, the lighting in the room was not enough for me (I like to have more light). Also, no light from the windows, as they were closed and not possible to have any light from there.
Very good breakfast with cold and hot choices and fruits, and drinks, but not fresh vegetables. Good restaurant for dinner in the Hotel with nice choice of dishes and good price and opened until 23.00.

Large room and comfortable bed, with clean and wide bathroom. I enjoyed the gym room, went there on every morning. Breakfast was quite standard, in line with what I expected.

The room without windows .
Hotel near the center of Madrid. Public transport to the center of Madrid and to the airport, excellent. The area around the hotel is beautiful and full of good restaurants.

It seems from the facilities list of the hotel that there is possibility to reserve massages at the hotel but I discovered at the check in time that it is not. The gym was very dirty and cold. Too few lights in the room. Room service was not, according my point of view, a nice service and the food was cold and not too fresh. (Tuna was passed)
The room was really nice. Enough clean but with hair in the bed linen and in the shower. Gym is well furnished. Breakfast was ok but I think that the coffee should be make espresso and that there should be dairy free products and that every item on the buffet should be presented with a tag. Staff at the breakfast were very helpful and kind. Thank you

The room was extremely warm. After asking for a solution at reception, I was told the AC is forbidden by law at this time of the year. I understand it, but please provide rooms with a fan to help circulating air inside the rooms.
The room was clean, good size bathroom and comfortable bed. The location is great and the subway is 5 minutes away.

The room wasn’t bright as the picture, the first room the staff assigned me was kinda like a basement without any sunlight. They changed it for me eventually but still kinda dark and so easy to be see through from the neighborhood if you have your curtain open.
Clean and the great location, 3 mins walking to metro and bus.

For the price one would expect more than just clean very basic hotel.
Pretty basic hotel experience. Nothing much to complain, but nothing particular to praise either. Breakfast was also quite basic, serving a bit larger selection of green stuff and fruits wouldn't hurt. Location is ok, not in the busiest and loudest area, but close to it anyhow.
