Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI have a severe dust allergy, and our room was clean, but the mattress, pillows, and floors were dusty enough to leave me quite itchy. On our second morning we were awoken to loud construction noises that sounded like they were coming from a room next door, but the front desk simply denied that there was any construction in the building. They did not offer any discounts or anything of the sort for the noise, and it continued for hours. My friend’s mattress was nice, but mine dipped in the middle.
Beautiful interior, happy with the hours for the pool, and the front desk staff was friendly. One of them spoke english and was vegetarian. She explained the amenities (which were nice) and offered to recommend us good places to eat and activities. Free coffee, tea, water, at almost all hours of the days, and towels for the pool.

FinlandNothing was really off so no complaints. The only "minus" was not being able to open properly the room windows. This is probably due to safety reasons, but they leave some of the locality's potential unused.
The location was more than perfect, and so was the value (price-quality). All in all, a great stay and would go again. The proximity to the beach combined with shopping possibilities and also narrow streets to find less expensive drinks and beers - great!

TurkeyWe did not have breakfast in Onix Liceo because the price seemed to be a little expensive. For this reason we do not know how the context/quality is but just thought it could be a little less expensive.
We visited Onix Liceo with my husband and 5-year-old daughter. The location is very good, right next to La Rambla. The room was very clean. The elevator was working well. The staff were very friendly and answered all our questions in detail. The air conditioner was working well and we did not have any problem with our daughter in the room connected to anything. Having the tea/coffee machine and cold water 24 hours in the lobby was very nice. Although we did not have the chance to swim, the swimming pool looked nice and our daughter had fun around. After check out, we could leave our luggages for some hours till our flight and there was no security problems. If we visit Barcelona, we can again stay in Onix Liceo.

United StatesThat breakfast wasn’t included and that it was a bit further from the beach than advertised.
I loved the interior of this property and how large the room was! For Europe they had very spacious rooms and the pool was a nice way to cool off during the hot summer days.

United KingdomIt was a bit out of date - the shower/bathroom had a bit of mould in it which put me off. I know it’s super common but I feel in a hotel it should be less common. Upon arrival our hotel room reeked of cigarette smoke and the aircon didn’t work. But I cannot fault the staff who were extremely understanding and kind - they moved us right away to a new room.
It was a great location! Close to the metro and a lot of the attractions. The swimming pool was an added bonus! As well as the coffee machine!

United StatesOur room (see pictures) shared a wall with the elevator, which caused mechanical noise during the day. The noise at night (after 11 p.m.) wasn’t too bad. But during the day, the noise was constant. I booked the terrace room hoping to avoid the street noise, but unfortunately, we ended up next to the elevator. Each floor has a room adjacent to the elevator, so there are a total of five “noisy” rooms. I asked for a different room, but the lady at front forgot and never got back to us. The blackout curtains weren’t very effective, and we were naturally woken up at 6:30 a.m. The air conditioner was positioned directly in front of the bed, which wasn’t very comfortable. And also, there is a plug in for Netflix, but it does not really work. TV has only Spanish channels.
I think it's a relatively new hotel. They took the shell of an old building and placed a hotel inside it. Breakfast was good (probably not 15 euro value, as claimed, but still good) and the staff was very friendly. Overall, it was a very clean and unique hotel. The terrace was a nice spot. Not much use though, since you can't really see things from there. From what I gathered, it was a place where smoking was allowed.

AustraliaA comfortable and convenient hotel. But a tip for drivers. Google Maps can not get you there - they’ve shown the wrong side of La Rambla as closed June 2025. From the Colom roundabout you need to drive up La Rambla on the right hand lane until the lights at the end of the road the hotel is on then duck left across the median strip to get to the hotel.

Latviathe conditioner is rather loud and sometimes bothers at night. The walls are also very thin, you can hear every step outside of your room.
The stuff were very nice, you can get coffee, tea, cacao and water for free. As well as there is a nice little pool and a small area for sunbathing, which was mostly empty. The location is also very nice - close to the center, many police stations near the hotel so even if the streets are not the safest looking, you can see police officers everywhere.
