Amazing hotel, very easy check in process including valet parking, room was huge. Enjoyed the pool and the after hours bar in the garden. Great location, close to the key sites.

Third stay at this hotel. One of our favourites. Wonderful location just down the hill from old Salamanca. Modern decor yet in keeping with the old convent. Parking a bonus in the town centre. Restaurant food very good. Staff very helpful.

A true character hotel, superbly located for a stay in one of Europe’s great cities. From the first moments of check-in we were made to feel welcome, important and respected. The staff went out of their way to ensure we had all we needed and that we would be able to make the most of our visit. While parking is limited, the hotel staff ensure every vehicle is looked after. The room was large, spotlessly clean and comfortable. Best hotel stay for some time.

Superb setting and wonderful facilities very near to the centre of town so everything can be accessed by foot

Honestly one of the nicest hotels we have ever stayed in. Just beautiful, sparkling clean, very friendly helpful staff and so authentic, we didn’t want to leave.

The personal was very nice, and the view from our room to the claustro was mind blowing. We enjoyed the pool area too.

The staff we met all had a very friendly attitude, nothing was too much trouble for them. Quality staff make a big difference.

Excellent location

The food from the restaurant is terrible. The pizza is a flatbread with cheese, which gives both me and my wife heartburn. I also noticed that other guests were greeted and their belongings were taken away, and their cars were parked. I had to find a place to charge my car and carry my belongings myself. Of course, this is not a problem, but considering that others received this service, it was not pleasant.

The pool is small, inadequate parasols for guests, and breakfast was not value for the money in the context of the city

Great location right next to the church of San Esteban and near La Plaza of the city. Easy to get to if you’re driving and parking isn’t bad. Breakfast was also very good, with plenty of variety.

It’s a shame that the swimming pool is not open early in the morning and that the pool terrace bar doesn’t open until late in the evening.

Fantastic stay, even better than expected. We loved our stay in Salamanca and definitely want to come back again. A large part of that is due to Hospes Palacio de San Esteban. It is a historic property next to a monastery in the very heart of Salamanca, but due to the monastery it is very quiet. There is an outdoor pool, which was great in the July heat to cool down after we arrived. Staff was really nice and helpful, valet took care of our car and charged it as well for our trip to Madrid the next day. We explored Salamanca by foot from the hotel which is really easy. Breakfast is good as well.
