How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewA very lovely local hotel. They did an exquisite work restoring an old traditional house in the town's centre, with so much attention to detail. The thing I find exceptional about the place is that they have a restaurant and a bar on the ground floor, which is visited mainly by the local population: so if you want to experience local culture during your stay, it's the place to book your room!

Verified reviewSilent, Quiet, clean, quaint, ground floor bar restaurant, perfect location in the old town centre
Narrow bed in single room, second floor without elevator, although it is logical because it is an old medieval house.

Verified reviewA nice posada with an indoor patio and a nice looking building. Rooms are basic but good and clean.
The key didn't work and we had to wait for the door to get fixed. The biggest problem is that despite the inconvenience they didn't have any special gesture. And the key issue hapoen 2 days, Friday and Saturday night

Verified reviewThe look and feel of the building's interior.
The unfriendly host. There was tabacco smell in the bedroom and strangely the bedside tables were very far from the bed.

Verified reviewAccess into the hotel and reception is in the bar (not unusual). The bright, comfortable bedroom was on the ground floor beyond the bar. I didn’t like the “wetroom” concept for the bathroom though. Having arrived much later than planned and chosen the hotel for the ability to park on the street and its restaurant, I was more than a little disappointed that I was unable to avail myself of either. Why? I was fiesta time. When I drove into town the roads in the area of the hotel were closed or blocked off so my satnav took me on a tortuous journey trying to find the hotel. When I eventually arrived, there wasn’t a parking space available anywhere near the hotel so I spent a long time driving around before eventually finding a space some way away. As you might expect, I found a couple of spaces much nearer as I walked back to the hotel !! The choice of tapas in the bar was minimal and, apart from the usual ensaladilla rusa, there was nothing I fancied. However, I saw no alternative places as I wandered back and forth sorting out the parking so I made the most of it - ensaladilla and a large slice of home-made empanadilla. Not a great start to my two week meander around central-west Spain but, choosing a period of time when most towns & villages on my route were in Fiesta was, in hindsight, not a good idea. Nothing wrong with the hotel although, because everything was closed apart from the bar, I can’t comment on what the hotel looked like inside to compare it with the lovely photos on the website. I thought it was a little pricy compared with others I stayed in on my journey but nice people, friendly locals popping in and out of the bar and, if the restaurant had been open, I would have been more than content with my stay

Verified reviewBeautiful traditional hotel. Loads of original features. Very friendly people and great breakfast, so reasonably priced.
Loved this property, a bit disappointed that the restaurant wasn’t open. Only a short walk to the plaza that had lots of options though.

Verified reviewA very local and typical Spanish small inn, more of a bar/restaurant with some rooms. Lots of character, and the one evening meal I had there was excellent. I liked the local feel of the place with numerous locals calling in the mornings for coffee and a chat. The room was large and clean, and the owners were friendly and helpful, although for English visitors note that they didn't speak any English!
Breakfast was very limited to coffee and a few toasted items, but reasonably priced. Parking in the town is very tight, and it was necessary to park some distance from the hotel, but it was free! Because of the hard finishes in the building, there was some noise from the other rooms, and also from passing traffic even though it is on a side street. There were no tea-making facilities in the room.
