Very clean and reception staff were so helpful. They were all willing to offer suggestions for places to eat, and more than helpful with sorting out parking discount at the Grand Hotel car park

Rooms are not too isolated, so you can hear all your neighbours. For longer stays a bit more storage place and power outlets would make your stay more comfortable.

The soundproofing is not good at all. There's no hair dryer. No fridge in the room (but there's a kitchen downstairs).

Lovely place, very good location. The area is quiet and safe. The beach is very close, there are several restaurants around and one very local and amazing bar just accross the road (also good for a breakfast), the grocery is in 3 minutes, buses to the airport are not far as well. The reception staff helped with the taxi since I had an early morning flight. Not all of them speak english but they are very friendly and ready to help using the google translator. The room is good, clean, all the basic needs are covered.

Unfortunately you can hear everything so the first night we did not have no rest at all. There is a latin nightclub on the other block so we had people up and down that road all saturday night. As the walls were so thin we could clearly hear people's phonecall conversations, music blasting from cars and even guests making weird noises whilst having intimacy and it felt like all this noise was in the room! So if your are looking a place to relax this is not the one.

I stayed with a friend for the weekend. Receptionist 24hrs, we needed a hairdryer and extra towels and they were given to us straight away. The hostal is a 4 min walk to the beach with options to eat as well. Our room had 2 single beds which was fine for us. We also had a fan but was not used as the breeze was coming in through the window

For such a comparably low price, it's almost impossible to write anything negative, but one piece of information for light sleepers: the doors to the rooms are not thick and so you can hear guests in the corridor - the sound insulation is generally kept simple.

There is nothing to fault here. I found it a bit hard to find but once I did it was my own sense of direction because I was basically walking past it.

The place was so friendly and clean. The staff were really helpful. I arrived early at least 3 hours before check in and they managed to sort me a room straight away.

I've stayed here previously and really rate this 2 star establishment. This time my room was on 2nd floor it was noisy I could hear bathroom of other room so I do prefer the room on the 4th floor.

The walls are thin and the people in the room beside us were very noisy all night. I also didn't like that the door to our room looked like it had been kicked in in the past. As a single Mum this made me feel less safe.

The staff were really helpful, the hostal is clean and well located, and the beds are very comfortable.

We had no inner courtyard view room; instead facing the narrow but busy noisy road. There was no patio. Smokers have to go out onto sidewalk. Room was smaller then expected. TV channels only in Spanish language.

All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The place was very clean and kitchen facilities adequate. Beds were comfortable. Location central to shops, restaurants and beach. There is a handy public bus service.

This review has been hidden because it doesn't meet our guidelines.

The pink tiling and dark wood (and brown towels!) date the original build, but the newer décor, airy reception, plus handy washing machines and vending machine mean the place is clean and cool with all the facilities you need. Located on a small one-way street that is pretty standard for Arrecife, there’s little traffic noise. Cafés for breakfast or light lunch are a couple of minutes’ walk and the main shopping street and restaurants about five minutes away. Staff were helpful and happy to store luggage for people. It helps to speak at least some Spanish, but guests of all languages seemed to be able to communicate their needs.
