How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

The location was about 20 walk from the old town
The hostel had everything we needed and the family room we used was very modern. Air con very good in a hot spell

Someone in my room turned it up so cold in my room and there was no blanket so i was really cold all night.
Everyone that worked there that I met were extremely friendly and helpful. The receptionist even helped me with the train.

I liked that there were teabags.... but it would have been nice to have some coffee capsules too! I understand that this is luxury though..... but if you're just staying one night like me there isn't time to do shopping...... it would just be a nice touch!
FABULOUS! So clean and spacious and the bunk beds were really comfy and lots of space in the room.....also a big cupboard to store bags for each bed. We had a toilet and shower in the room but there were also shower and toilet facilities along the corridor to use too.

Limited access to kitchen (especially in the early morning) which makes it difficult to make a tea/coffee.

The stairs of the beds are made of metal and if someone climbs them up/down during the night it can wake you up. I would recommend putting pieces of felt/foam where it contacts with the frame of the bed so it makes less noise.
Good environment, helpful staff, beautiful decoration, good beds.

I am on the camino de levante from valencia to zamora and further on to santiago, it was good to find this hostal during easter time...

Amazing place. I took the female dormitory and can't recommend it enough. Great price, great kitchen (and supermarket like 50 meters away). Very friendly staff. I do recommend it for solo female travellers. Very spacious and comfy room with enough privacy.

All perfect :)
Super friendly staff, storing luggage and using the communal areas a bit before check-in and after check-out was no issue (which I was so so happy about as it rained nonstop outside that weekend) In general the hostel is very modern, all is clean, looks great and is so spaceous. Love the little details and decor. The rooms are perfect, private toilet and shower are included, with two sinks and mirrors, big enough the not get in the way of your roommates. The beds aber super comfy, all with curtains and lockers. Big kitchen and big communcal area with all you need. Also two additional batrooms with toilets and showers in the communal area, in case the ones in your room are occupied. Even though I stayed during carnival with lots of young guests and groups it was always quiet in the hostel and the rooms. Within walking distance to the old centre and a bus stop nearby as well if you don't wanna walk. Next to a big park which I bet is beautiful in summer. Highly recommend this place if you're in Toledo or nearby, I'll definitely be back!

I would add some activities because Toledo is quite small and the activities would make the experience so much better

I find it inconvenient to have the shower and toilet inside the same room, especially when there is no proper separation. It might be a real challenge during the busy season. There was also no place to put or hang items in the shower, which was quite inconvenient.

It is a hostel, so there was no fridge in the room and no daily room cleaning. Not a big deal. You need to figure out how to do the on-street parking which was a minor hassle, but we were able to figure out eventually. Others mentioned blue zone, but blue zone only lets you park up to 2hrs. We had to find orange zone to park for a couple of days, but couldn't get the meter to take a credit card, so needed to go get lots of coins.
Clean and modern facilities. Wonderful shower. Great common spaces. Great location close to edge of the old city.
