How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Expensive per night, we paid £200 and it didn't include breakfast. I would expect more for that price.
Helpful and polite staff. A lovely and relaxed atmosphere in a quiet area. The breakfast was well presented. The local cider was excellent.

For some of the day there are no staff and everything is based on access using your room key. That’s all good unless your key doesn’t work following a thunder storm and you’re standing outside in the rain.
Quiet. Excellent breakfasts. Swimming pool.

Found room very dark needed to put light on in the day and outside our terrace was closed in.
The whole place was very nice, quiet plenty places to sit outside help yourself to as much tea and coffee as you like . Very helpful when we arrived early and let us leave our luggage.

Nothing of note.
Really nice property in a lovely location approximately 20min bus ride into city centre. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was lovely and full of local produce.

The views of the mountains - The staff so welcoming . The small details eg savoury and sweet snacks free drinks and water . The breakfast which is included is superb especially the cheesecake ! Great restaurant down the road with amazing cider

The approach route suggested it could be a somewhat industrial area, but the immediate environment was lovely and quiet after 17.30
Great location for cycling down into the centre of San Sebastian, truly amazing breakfast and a swimming pool to cool down in after a long journey. Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and our bedroom was quiet and comfortable and looked down into an orchard.

A small selection of snacks available to purchase, either central or like a mini-bar might have been useful but not essential
The hotel is an excellent location, in a lovely quiet space just outside of San Sebastian. There great connections to roads and public transport. The staff were so welcoming, helpful and did all that could to accommodate our needs, even providing breakfast at the last minute. The hotel was very clean and well looked after. The beds were comfortable, a good size and the shower facilities were excellent.

Nothing we didn't like.
The breakfast was super varied and tasty, 10 out of 10. Location is great if you want to travel anywhere in the Basque Country. The room was super clean and stylish, plenty of room for storage. Quiet for a good night sleep.

Beautiful hotel and surroundings. Very comfortable and stylish rooms. Really friendly and welcoming staff. Safe storage for my bicycle. Thoughtful touches like nibbles and tea/coffee for when reception was closed. The breakfast was exceptional!

Very good option to visit San Sebastian, in a quiet location with easy access to the city.. Spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. Great breakfast with salt and sweet options. Fresh apple cider from the property. Excellent staff. Will return for a longer stay.

Breakfast was until 9:30. A bit too early us :-) but we we at the end of a long long road trip and needed to sleep a bit more.
The breakfast was very good. The table already prepared for us when we arrived. They had vegan milk which is always a plus. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They recommended an excellent Cider hall just down the road. Well worth it. The grounds were very pretty and there was a nice pool. The area was quite and relaxing.

Only that with exception of the Petrigi Cider Factory restaurant there are no other restaurants in walking distance. But that is the flip side of the peaceful location.
Peaceful location yet within 10-15mins drive of San Sebastián old town. Next door cider factory worth a visit.
