How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Verified reviewOur stay was absolutely wonderful! The apartment was spotless, beautifully furnished, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The modern bathroom was a highlight, as was the spacious balcony with a stunning view. Our host was incredibly helpful, always available for any questions and giving great local tips. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience – highly recommended!
The only small downside is the location near train tracks, which might be an issue for light sleepers. However, everything else was perfect, and we would still highly recommend this place!
Thank you for your review. Indeed the building block is close to the train track like so many other building who are even closer. Nothing we can do about this. This said bedroom has double glass and at late night there are no trains. Also we offer free parking and big swimming pool for free.

Verified reviewThis was one of the best holidays my partner and I have ever had. The apartment was absolutely beautiful. The views were outstanding from the living room and balcony area. The amenities were perfect. Bedroom was so comfortable and fresh. The location is perfect, you are 5 minutes walk from many restaurants, cafes and the beach. The owners were so friendly and helpful and answered any questions we had about near by recommendations! Quick responses from the owners also. Thank you so much for our stay, we will definitely recommend to our family and friends for our wedding next year in Sitges!

Verified reviewThe views from the balcony were amazing! The apartment has everything we needed for a week's stay and we enjoyed many nights on the balcony. The beach, supermarket and restaurants are only a 10 minute walk so the location was amazing! The swimming pool is a godsend in the heat and there are areas with umbrellas you can sunbathe near the pool. We saw reviews about the train station which didn't bother us at all, just like everything, you get used to it! Thanks for such a wonderful stay Peter & Oscar

Verified reviewA twelfth floor apartment with a fast lift, and an excellent view over the bay of Sitges and the mountains inland. The apartment was very comfortable and spacious, with a good shower, and also well equipped for small-scale self-catering. The blocks of flats (there are 3 of them) were in a large compound with secure (free) parking, which meant it was very easy to leave your car and walk into the centre of Sitges. Sitges is a pretty town with lots of small shops and restaurants and well worth a visit. The apartment is also close to the station, with trains to Barcelona every 30 minutes (the Sagrada Familia is a must-see), and close to the motorway for visiting places such as Tarragona and Montserrat. The owner is very friendly, speaks excellent English, and lives nearby so he is easy to contact.
Although the kitchen was well equipped, it only has an induction hob and there is no oven, so self-catering is somewhat limited. The only problem I could see is that the bedroom windows are next to a window bench seat, with windows that open wide over a drop from the 12th floor - not really suitable for families with young children. Apart from that the apartment comes highly recommended.

To answer the questions about the oven it’s marked in booking side that kitchen has NO oven. After 16 years in the business and have other flats we rent out ovens nearly never get used . Most people coming to sitges for few days don’t even border to cook.. we have limited space so we opt for microwave. As said before you can read this in booking what we provide or not. The bedroom window you can open 2 ways . But I understand that it’s on the 12 floor. If you cheque the other buildings no one has safety bars installed Incase you would fall out… we never had any problems with this issue . We have often families staying with children but this is like every where .. you need to look after them. Also there is a balcony… I always advice family’s to be careful of the high of the flat. Daytime noise from the nearby train line. Fortunately, the trains don't run overnight.
Thx you for your great comments. Unfortunately trains divide sitges in 2 parts as train station is in the center ! One way or another were you stay you will have some train noise. The opposite side ; you don’t have to walk far to take train and big swimming pool we offer and free parking.

Verified reviewLoved the views! Pool was really lovely. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. There is a washing machine! The hosts were so welcoming and gave great recommendations for dinners. The grounds of the apartment building itself is quiet and calming. Good air conditioning. Easy access to downtown Sitges without being right in the really busy and loud part of the tourist area. An oasis of peace just far enough away and at the same time, close enough to all the restaurants and beaches.
We weren’t aware there were train tracks at the back of the building. At first, we wondered if the sound of the trains behind the building would be an issue. Turned out, no. They don’t run at night. During the day it wasn’t bothersome either.
We were delighted to have you as guest in out flat . All was so clean and looked after. Great guests Thx you
