We had an issue with our check in as the apartment was not ready - and we were not informed prior our arrival.

Mostly minor gripes: very minimal supply of coffee pods, washing up liquid and laundry pods. Some of the fittings are loose (eg shower head holder in upstairs shower), and the washing machine door should be mounted to the left not the right, which would make it far more accessible. If the aircon is on then the terrace is uninhabitably hot!

Bright, clean, modern warehouse style apartment, with good access to beach and plenty of lovely restaurants. Slightly further from the old town but there are good transport links and it’s not too far to walk. The terrace is private and very useful for drying clothes.

On arrival, within a couple of hours, they told me that the room, from unknown reasons,is not available. They give us another, close buy, tell me that, next day the room is going to be ready. The room was clean, but inferior to the facilities that we booked. The next day, around noon, let us know that the room is ready . We moved into the room, and we saw a lot of mosquitoes, dead! In the evening,we come back from the city, the room was FULL of mosquitoes, and we didn't sleep all night, trying to kill them ! The next day we talked about the situation, and the answer was at this time of the year, it's like this, like it's our problem ! We asked for another room, but they said it's fully booked. They let us in the room for an electric repellent,we bought a second one,and we survived, for a week.

    Clean,

Bed and pillows to hard for me, but it only my individual preferences.

Perfect location! Close to the beach, local food, playgrounds. Easy to get to the center of Valencia. More Spanish People than turists - perfect. No keys to the room what is really comfortable.

We stayed at this apartment for a few nights and overall had a good experience
    • Leisure trip
    • Family with young children
    • Loft
    • Stayed 3 nights

There were a few downsides: the apartment can get quite noisy as it's located right across from a football field where matches are often played, and there's also a tram running very close by. The sofa doesn’t convert into a standard bed – instead, there’s a pull-out mattress. The smell in the common areas is very unpleasant (but it's okay in the room).

The location is great – very close to bars, the sea, and public transport. The apartment was very clean, well-equipped, and had large windows that let in lots of natural light. We also appreciated the keyless entry system via an app, which fortunately worked smoothly during our stay.

One major downside: the pillows! Neither my friend nor I could sleep on them—they were high and firm. In the end, we slept without them.

A nice place—very clean, quite cozy, and well thought out. There are dishes available, and even a washing machine with a detergent pod. The area is quiet.

A bit noisier than expected with tram nearby.

Modern, well thought through layout of the room, well organised, good communication. Great location in heart of Valencia beach area. Surprising full automated lock system without keys, but once you get to know it it works well. Biggest TV I had in any hotel room ever.

There was a problem with the automated entry system that a few different guests experienced & people got effectively locked out from the main door

I wanted to be near the beach & away from tourist traps of the city & Cabanyal was a vibrant local community where I could speak & practice Spanish. The apartment was modern & I loved the mezzanine bedroom with its own shower & wc.

My second stay here and another good experience

I was really missing a wooden spoon, spatula, and ladle for cooking. I also had some issues with the building entry door using the code that got me locked out. They suggested using the app but I don't want to download an unknown door app. I could simply use the browser version to open the loft door.

I stayed here for a 2nd time This time in the loft and I really enjoyed my stay. It had everything I needed for a week. It was very clean and comfy. Internet is great, bed is comfy, AC worked great, location is top notch. The very noise sensitive might be bothered by the tram and football field across the street but I personally didn't notice it at all.

Not sure if it was my room specifically (11) but it seemed quite noisy although it wasn't very busy. You can clearly hear conversations in the hallway which isn't too bad; worse was to clearly hear someone snoring all night in one of the adjacant rooms.

Very new and clean studio in my favourite area of Valencia. Close to the beach, restaurants, bars, supermarkets. The city center is about 15/30 minutes by taxi/bus respectively. The communication was very personal and someone from the hosting agency was there for my arrival which is always nice. All the basics are there in the apartment to make for a stay longer than a few days (food, laundry, cleaning, etc.). AC worked great and the internet/wifi was stable and of decent speed.

We stayed in Apartment 13 with a terrace at VLC Host Reina. Overall, the experience was decent, but there are a few important things to know. 📍 Location: The apartment is well connected to public transport – trams and buses are easily accessible. There are shops nearby, and the area has everything you need. The Cabanyal neighborhood has its charm, with a local, authentic vibe, but some streets can feel a bit sketchy. If you've been in the area before, you know what I mean. 🏠 The Apartment: It's decently equipped for a short stay. However, the kitchen is quite bare – no spices, no basics like oil, salt, or sugar – just cooking utensils. If you plan to cook, you’ll need to buy everything from scratch. 🚪 Important Note About the Terrace Door: The door to the terrace cannot be opened from the outside. I accidentally locked myself out twice – luckily, I wasn’t alone and my wife was able to let me back in. If you're staying alone and get locked out without your phone, it could be a real problem, as the terrace is surrounded by high walls and only open to the sky. 🔊 Noise: The area can be quite noisy, especially at night, so light sleepers might want to bring earplugs. Overall, this place is a good option if you're mainly out exploring the city and just need a place to sleep. But be aware of the door issue and the limited kitchen supplies.

Very nice place with comfortable bed and clean bathrooms. 3min walk to beautiful beach, neighborhood with a lot of nice bars and restaurants. If someone is sensitive about noises, it might be a bit too loud for you as the tram is very close to the place.

A freshly renovated historical hotel in a convenient, slightly noisy location, with DISASTROUS locks
    • Leisure trip
    • Solo traveller
    • Double Room
    • Stayed 8 nights

    - Should have read the description of this particular room very carefully. Instead of a balcony and sea view, got a ground floor room with very little light and even no kitchen. The pictures and description of the hotel managed to mislead me into expecting something that was available only for some rooms. - Noise. Not excessive but the hotel is situated between three moderately busy streets. Cars stalling at traffic lights next to my window added noise and occasionally caused air pollution. Neighbors' TV sounds came in through the vents. - The locking system is an absolute disaster. Doors open with an app. Twice during a week's stay, I had to stand in the street in the middle of the night, reading that "the portal is unaccessible right now", then restarting my phone and hoping that the monster of a lock will start working. Give me a normal key!!!

    - Very good location in historical Cabanyal, close to the beach, with lots of services nearby (public transport, cafes, bike rents, etc.) - The hotel is a freshly renovated historical building. It looks (and is) authentic from the outside, but at the same time is modern and well equipped. - Good heating (which is not a given in Spain) - Nice supplies, even an iron with an ironing board were provided, alongside lots of other stuff. Everything was new and very clean.

The only thing I liked is that the apartment was newly refurbished and apparently I was the first one to rent it. Things I didn`t like, since day one of my arrival I had to call for a handyman to fix the leakage in the kitchen and had to wait for 3 days to get it fixed (because of the holiday and then weekends). Every night around 3.00AM-4.00AM the lights in the living room (on the 1st floor) were turning on by itself for a minute or so and then shut down again. Probably some kind of wifi automation malfunction which was not fixed during my stay and got kind of annoying… The online web link system to open and close the door is total crap. For one, you can`t leave the apartment without a phone if you`re traveling alone because you will get locked out of the apt and won`t be able to get in. For second, this system made me almost miss my flight. I strongly advise you warn the traveler that the link you provide to enter the flat has an expiration time. I notified the customer support that I`ll be checking out at 08:30AM in the morning but when I left the apt. a bit earlier ~07:50AM to throw the garbage out the web link they provided to Unlock expired. I couldn`t get in anymore with all my luggage inside and it was way before my announced check out time. I dialed the emergency line of VLC Host and spent 30 min on the line explaining the problem. Eventually I ran out of roaming minutes on my phone and got cut off but no one even considered calling me back or whatsapp to continue the conversation and make sure I get in to get my stuff. I had to ask the taxi driver and use his mobile to reach the emergency CS again. In the end - out of roaming minutes with still two weeks to spend in Europe, 15 EUR surcharge for taxi waiting and overwhelmed and stressed out because of the incompetence of the customer support and possibility to miss the flight
