The area is slightly sketchy at night. Front entrance is locked after a certain point (which is fair) but without a key you'll need to ring the doorbell to enter so try to check-in during regular business hours.

I have no complaints at all. I did not have enough time to try the sauna or gym facilities- but the hotel was really excellent!

Whilst the room was nice it felt quite claustrophobic with the wall dividing the clothes area and bed should have been left open. The light switches were also quite annoying.

Upon check-in we were offered a tiny cramped room and requested a more spacious room. We were told that on the day we checked in (Sunday) not all rooms were cleaned after check-out to save weekend salary payment to the house-keeping staff. Thus, an other room could not be allocated to us. Only, when we said we would find an other hotel, were we offered a reasonably sized room. The confrontation with the front desk staff member kinda spoiled our first impression of an otherwise excellent hotel. With a bit more empathy, she could have deescalated the situation and made our arrival as good as the hotel deserved.

This was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff is so friendly and helpful, the location couldn’t be better (close to tram stops and the train station, which brings you directly to the airport). The hotel itself is beautiful and the rooms are so clean and well planned with special touches. We decided to buy the breakfast for 25 euro and we are so happy we did- on Saturday and Sunday it is open until 13:00 and the food is fresh and delicious! We also enjoyed the a la carte menu included in the breakfast and the sparkling wine. Also, we had an early morning flight and there was coffee, juice and pastries downstairs for guests to have. All around, this hotel has excellent staff and has truly thought of everything to make the guests stay easy, comfortable and enjoyable! Thank you so much for everything!!

We visited only for one night, so I cannot comment on how often this happens, but we came in for breakfast just an hour after it opened, yet the avocado had run out by then without being refilled, and there were barely any dessert pastries left. I would expect a hotel of this caliber to be able to easily forecast demand, and allocate staff and stock as appropriate. The staff were also clearly overworked that morning, and we were not told about the á la carte breakfast option beforehand, despite another group of visitors in front of us being asked if they knew how breakfast there worked (we weren't asked this question). It took at least 15 minutes for us to be served at our tables, and we were only asked about drinks, not offered the á la carte, which I had to figure out to ask for separately. This left a lot to be desired and made the overall breakfast experience feel quite lacking, despite the quality of the food itself.

We came to visit as "locals". Excellent amenities in the rooms. It's worth mentioning that the en-suite toilets are Grohe Japanese style washlets, a rarity in Finland or anywhere outside of Japan. The breakfast was of superb quality, from real juice, down to the scrambled eggs, not soggy and overcooked like you often find at hotel breakfasts. Besides the buffet, the price of breakfast includes a breakfast plate prepared by the chef. The location is ideal for exploring the city. Our room faced Mannerheimintie, the busy main thoroughfare in central Helsinki, but even on the weekend there was virtually no noise inside, so props for the soundproofing.
