Did not have a drying cabinet for clothes, but the bathroom floor was very warm and we could dry the skiboots there.

The cabin was very cozy and great for a family of three. Great location close to everything. No complaints whatsoever!

I don't have a bad word to say about the cottages. At all.

The cottage was very well equipped, it had everything you could possibly need. Even came stocked with toilet roll, kitchen roll, washing up liquid and hand soap. It was toasty and warm inside the cottage, the drying room was excellent for hanging damp hats and gloves in. Beautiful location. Honestly a perfect and beautiful place to stay. The owner was so helpful and accommodating the whole time and answered all my questions in the lead up to our trip.

We’ve had an amazing week in Simon’s cottage! The location and the cottage were perfect. Simon always replies very quick and is happy to help out with everything. The sauna is amazing after a cold day in the snow. I can’t wait to go back some day!

Nothing, it was all amazing.

We loved the lodges and there surroundings, it was so magical and peaceful, The log burner and sauna was a huge hit with my family, Simon the host was very helpful and replied to all my messages straight away. We were so sad to leave, it really is the most beautiful, relaxing place on earth.

The cabin exceeded our expectations, we felt very comfortable, warm and cosy (even with -25 outside). It is fully equipped with everything you need, we haven't missed anything in the kitchen. It is also exceptionally clean and well maintained. Location was perfect, with privacy of being nestled in the forest, but within a short walk from village center and all the amenities and facilities. We didn't want to leave.

Nothing - Everything was perfect!

We had a great week with lots of snow and sun at the cottage. Simon was very helpful, gave tips and always responded very quickly to messages. The cottage is unique. Spacious and very well equipped. And always cosy and warm at -27 degrees. The small sauna was wonderful. The connection to the Y1 ski centre is great and there are also cross-country ski trails nearby. The supermarket in Äkäslompolo is very well stocked and has everything you need. We can highly recommend the cottage.

Honestly, for us, it couldn't have been any better.

Absolutely everything. We had a lovely time in Äkäslompolo, and staying in Tunturioravat made our stay so much better. It's a lovely cabin, perfectly located, very close to restaurants, coffe places, supermarket, walking/skiing trails, and at the same time you get a nice feeling of being in the middle of nature. The cabin has everything necessary for a great stay. We were lucky enough to spot some amazing, clear, northern lights right outside our cabin. Last but certainly not least, Simon is such a great host, always quickly to respond to texts, super kind, and he went further and beyond to accommodate our requests. We will most definetely return to Äkäslompolo, and there's no question we'll be staying here again. Again, thank you so much for everything!

Perfect location, close to center of Äkäslompolo with supermarket, restaurants and safari companies. Very comfortable and well equiped. We enjoyed sauna and chimney fire. Any question was answered immediately without delay.

Simon is a great friendly person .. we appreciated his dedication by coming to us in the middle of night to inform us of the aurora borealis .. he is very kind and gave information of routes where we could walk easily . we thank him very much and he is a friend .. we will definitely visit him again ... the cottage is very romantic and we enjoyed our stay.. we recommend it to all who love to live by woods ....

It was absolutely amazing. Even better than we could imagine. Host, cottage, location are the best. We had the most magical time in Äkäslompolo. Thanks Simon for everything. We hope to visit there again soon. A big K Market supermarket, together with other shops, restaurants, lakes, forest trails just 5 min walking, Yllas ski resort 5 min drive, the cottage is so clean, warm, well equipped, cozy. We loved sauna and chimney. I highly recommend it. The owners are so friendly and nice. We had a really great experience.

It was very clean and comfortable. It even looked nicer in reality than in pictures. Very cozy atmosphere. Sauna was great. Good location need the skiing tracks.
