Everything was ok but i think the add needs to be revised. First, there is no private toilet, this is very important as you will be sharing a very basic bathroom with cold water with all the other guests. Same with the kitchen, the family cooks there so although you can also cook it does get crowded. The rooms are very basic with just one bulb for illumination. The beds are hard. I lean the whole feeling is of a very basic lodging. It gets counterbalanced by the hospitality of its hosts. The internet is very patchy, so don't expect much from it. The price is way too high for what you get. But this is Fiji where the big resorts charge an insane amount and the rest of lodgings are trying to come up with a realistic number in an island like this. But this price is not realistic. I would not have paid more than maybe 25 usd a night had i known..

The family is amazing, getting to spend time with a local family was one of the highlights of Taveuni. The grandmother was incredibly friendly and helpful. Fijan people are the best

The Host family was very welcoming and made us feel that we are part of their family as well. Eparama and his son took us to all the tourist attractions and chauffeured my family all around the island. Mili and Aunty made the best breakfast from the presentation, homegrown fruits and freshly made pancakes... it fueled us up for the whole day. Uncle told us many stories of the olden times and the traditions of the island. Our time with the family will be cherish for many years to come.
