The wine options in the restaurant were not what we'd hoped but were definitely not a deal breaker.

We were three adult family members who stayed for 2 weeks. We all loved the small boutique hotel feel of the place. The staff were all amazing and so helpful. They all bent over backwards to ensure we were all comfortable and well looked after. Huge thanks to Chris and all of the team! The swimming and snorkeling were great right out in front of the resort - once we worked out the tides. Would definitely stay there again and recommend.

Food relatively average for the price but hotel is very close to other options

Lovely stay along the beautiful Coral Coast. Villa was the perfect size for me, my wife and 2yo son. Staff were very friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The free daily activities (snorkelling, kayaking, demonstrations, reef walk and hiking) were an added bonus. Special shout out to Aku who took my wife and son on an incredible reef walk!!

Before arriving it was hard to communicate with them through email / messaging so ended up having to call every time. There was also limited information available beforehand on the type of experiences they offered, restaurant facilities/menus and other tours that can be booked through them. Food was delicious and it would have been nice to include breakfast with the booking.

Staff were wonderful - very friendly, polite and accommodating. They assisted us in booking all the experiences we wanted, always got food to us wherever we were fresh and on time, were very responsive and had great knowledge. We loved our coconut demonstration and reef walk + snorkeling with Aku.

Some of the features of the room were in need of attention. The tv soundbar didn't work, nor did the subwoofer. That didn't really bother us too much. The kitchen tap needs replacing but works ok. The remote controls for the 3 AC units weren't all working, perhaps new batteries? The 3 large main doors that are meant to open didn't. We asked for help and they managed to get one set open. We rarely used it as it was hard to open and close.

The location was quiet and secluded. 1h45m drive from Nadi airport. Right on the beach. Service was impeccable. Restaurant was open 7am to 9pm and they offered free room service. The penthouse apartment was spacious and well appointed. The unit is upstairs with access via the outside of the building. Makes it very secure and feels safe.

Wonderful Stay at Maui Bay Resort We received a warm welcome upon arrival and experienced excellent customer service throughout our stay, especially from Chris Vanua, who went above and beyond. The food and drinks were fantastic, the staff were extremely helpful, and the horizon pool was absolutely beautiful. A truly memorable stay!

Maui Palms was an absolute treat and a very pleasing surprise to our holiday. It is located along a beautiful coastline which is perfect for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking. The staff are really nice and make you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. Every day you have a range of activities to choose from which I recommend doing them all as you will learn about the land and ocean of Fiji and are a good opportunity to ask questions. The food and drinks are delicious with a wide range of options to choose from. To top it off, dinner can be delivered to wherever you desire every night! Vinaka Chris, Felix, Norman and Aku - appreciate the welcome hospitality and making our stay a 10/10! 🕺 🌴

Nothing that bothered us or that we didn’t like but just a couple of things that would bring the resort up to 5 star standards; - we did find the food to be a bit too much like eating at a club in Australia. We would prefer more tropical food with lots of fresh seafood. - some maintenance on some of the facilities and equipment could be improved. lol

Maui Palms was a perfect place for our family of four (2 parents and 2 young adults) to relax in a quiet and laidback resort without the crowds. We absolutely loved the location with our Villa (1) being right on the beach and pool. We frequently had the lounges and hammocks in the pool area all to ourselves. The traditional and tropical style of the Villa section was just what we wanted while others enjoyed the modern apartment style of accommodation. The staff were excellent and eager to help in any way and chat with us, sharing their stories and traditions. We felt the various activities within the resort were great and there was plenty on offer. Often resorts charge extra for these so we appreciated that they were included. This is our 5th visit to Fiji (different resorts each time) and Maui Palms is our favourite. The snorkeling was the best we’ve done on the Coral Coast.

There was nothing I disliked

This review is for a return visit to Maui Palms. After an incredible first visit, Maui Palms had high standards to maintain and they (again) far exceeded expectations. The villas are spacious, comfortable and clean. Villas 1 and 2 are close to the ocean and have stunning views but you also can’t beat the view from anywhere along the ocean side of the boutique resort. Since my last visit, they have added smart TVs so you can stream content from tour mobile device. Maui Palms staff keep the property immaculate while also checking on the guests to see if there is anything we need. The service level is not only warm and welcoming, but the attentiveness is top notch. Katie is a new addition to the staff with a bright smile that is contagious. Chris, Norman and Felix check in periodically to see if there is anything you need. You don’t get this kind of personalized service at large resorts. MP staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel at home. The dinners are delectable and my favorites were the grilled fish, fish lolo and the beef filet. I love how they harvest the coconuts on site and use the fresh coconut cream for the meals. It doesn’t get fresher than that! The activities are mainly led by Felix, who is so knowledgeable about the marine life. He points out the diverse underwater creatures during snorkeling, but also seeks out fascinating marine life to share during the reef walks. Felix shares thoughtful insights about the importance of marine life to the Fijian culture. As a mindful tourist, I appreciate the cultural sharing as it broadens my perspective of the global community. I was lucky to be able to chat with Wayne, one of the owners. He shared about the history of Maui Palms. As a project manager myself, I appreciated his recollection of some of the challenges of the pool project (newer building) and how his team used creative problem solving to complete the project. Wayne seems to have a deep appreciation for the MP staff and Fijian culture.
