Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe beach right in front of the property was unswimmable. There is a wonderful swimming lagoon very nearby but you need to be told about it and we weren't on the first day. There is also a snorkelling lagoon, I saw live corals but not spectacular ones. The fancy basin in the bathroom had no plug.
Lovely, peaceful location. Very good swimming when you knew where to go. Very nice, well equipped room. Good food. Free airport taxi and we could also book Bablu for trips to nearby places.

New ZealandWe stayed in Sigasiga Sands for 11 days. We made our own meals mainly in a well equipped kitchen. The ‘Seahorse’ bungalow is a well designed comfortable space looking towards the lagoon. The deep swimming hole in the lagoon was a joy. Subash and Sunita were lovely hosts. Sunita’s samosas were a big hit with us and we were able to watch her and her daughter make a batch. I can recommend Bablu the taxi driver. All in all a lovely experience.

AustraliaWe loved the Coco bungalow we stayed in , it was big enough for the 5 of us and clean and had all the comforts of home . The kitchen was well equiped but we didn’t get to use it fully as we enjoyed the meals made by Sunita . It’s a beautiful and relaxing spot where you feel like you have the whole place to yourselves . Our girls loved playing with the resident dog Tuktuk and enjoyed snorkeling and swimming in the lagoon . The staff Subash and Sunita were very welcoming and made my Mum’s birthday special by presenting her with a beautiful bouquet of flowers and a lovely cake that we had ordered . It is about 15min drive to town but we didn’t feel the need to go there everyday but a taxi can be arranged with the hotel driver Bablu who is very helpful and informative about what to do and where to eat . Overall we enjoyed our stay and would be back again hopefully one day soon 😊

We stayed at the newly built cottage. The facility is very nice with a fully equipped kitchen. It included a sizable fridge which we can store food and drinks. The stove and fridge saved us quite a few bucks from eating out. The room is spacious, and nicely decorated with a gorgeous view of the ocean. There are not many people in the area. You feel you have the entire beach to yourself. Wifi is good. If you don't feel to cook, you can always order freshly made food for room service. Bonus tip #1: Make sure check out the beach when it's low tie! I found so many brittle star, sea cucumber, crabs, etc. Bonus tip #2: if you are interested in learning Indo Fijian cooking, they would be happy to show you.

Hong KongSigasiga is a beautiful spot on the seashore. Our Bure was comfortable and clean with BBQ on the verandah, outdoor and indoor showers, and a kitchen with everything you need. AC and fans. We felt welcomed and Gene and his team were super helpful.

United KingdomIt's a bit far from town, unless you're attending the event nearby it can be a bit challenging to get food/go shopping on a regular basis, however the property has a kitchen and the hosts prepare food too for their guests if required.
I liked the fact that it was right by the beach and it was close to the event center in Wasawasa Lodge. Shuttle was provided to go there otherwise you can walk it takes 40 minutes. Bablu the taxi driver collected me from Lebasa Airport, I would recommend him.

New ZealandWhat an amazing location! Most times it felt like we had our own private beach. The staff were amazing, Subash made sure we had everything we needed. We had breakfast every morning and it was lovely. Our family was celebrating a few milestones, and though part of our group had to leave earlier than originally planned, Subash ensured the celebrations went on without a hitch and place was decorated, and a had delicious lovo. The food overall was great and affordable, and brought to our place. We even enjoyed a breakfast on the beach. Great place for a family or group, an amazing slice of paradise! The snorkeling was fantastic. The whole team was great, from pickup at the airport with Bubloo to drop off and everything in between. I almost don't want to recommend, purely for the fact I don't want it to be sold out the next time I want to go and stay! What a gem. You'll have a relaxing time at sigasiga!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at sigasiga. Our place was the perfect size with more room than we could have planned. We loved the outdoor patio and the AC and WiFi was really good. The manager and their family were perfect hosts and made really nice meals brought to your room with a menu full of options. We loved that the beach was right in front of the house. The beach was beautiful and perfect for beach walks if you’re into that. I walked out to some amazing tidepools at low tide. The sunsets were beautiful, would 100% stay here again.

IrelandWe loved Sigasiga Sands so much. We stayed in the Seahorse cottage which had the most beautiful view of the beach. The resort is so quiet that we hardly ever saw other people, it felt like a remote private island. We especially loved being able to take the free kayaks out to the sea, it's sheltered by reef so the water is nice and calm. We were able to see lots of sea life in the reefs as well. Aside from the beautiful surroundings, the staff were amazing. There is an extensive breakfast, lunch and dinner menu which we ordered from, with staff bringing meals to our cottage for us to enjoy on the balcony, looking out at the beautiful view. The cottage itself is equipped with a kitchenette for home cooking if preferred. I would highly recommend a stay here for a peaceful and relaxing holiday. Special mention to Subash who made us feel so welcome and looked after us so well.

IndiaHonestly everything was great !
We liked the placement, we were litterally at 50 meters from the beach, it was calm and very peaceful the all time. The interior of the Tiny House was well equipped, we were just two with my wife and we had everything we needed and the nights were great during the entire 5 days (the warm showers are a big plus in the morning as well!). The personnel was great and Subash the manager was really nice during the all stay. The meals proposés are very good and affordable (we did all Breakfast and dinners at the Tiny House) and we were always satisfied :) Also, the WiFi connection is ok, and even if we expériences some slow bandwidth some time it was largely OK during our stay. We couldn't more recommand the Sigasiga Resort, it's trully awesome!

New ZealandSpacious bungalow, well equipped, great bed and shower, great terrace, great views, very friendly staff, very quiet and peaceful. Not the type of resort where you stay in all day as there are not many facilities, but fantastic base to stay when you are active and want to explore the island. Really thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We loved everything about Seahorse Cottage and Sigasiga Sands Resort. Beautiful location, thoughtfully set out Bure, clean and comfortable and very private. Meals cooked by Sunita were incredible. Delicious - tasty and flavoursome and delivered to our Bure. Subash and Sunita were the perfect hosts. We definitely recommend Sigasiga Sands to anyone wanting a lovely, relaxed holiday in paradise. AustraliaSigasiga Sands (pronounced Singasinga😊) was the perfect way to spend the last week of our Fiji holiday. The property is right on a secluded tropical beach with ocean views from our bungalow with a pretty blue swimming lagoon only a few mins walk or swim in high tide on our doorstep. Also a great location if you are going to dive with Koro Sans or take a snorkingly trip. Our bungalow was an ex maids residence, built to deal with tropical conditions perfectly. Airy with a great built in verandah to keep the mossies out, with some fun features of a hammock and a big tree that the verandah was built around. The facilities were as stated with a big well equipped kitchen if you choose to cook or option to order meals if you don't. Town is only 15 mins away by taxi (7 to 10 fiji dollars) or the bus is just over 1 fijian dollar to stock up on supplies, where there is a fun fruit vegetable and seafood market to wonder around and pick up fresh ingredients as well as supermarkets and my favourite hot bread kitchen. Our bungalow was meticulously clean, the beds comfy and a great hot shower. The board games provided were a lovely touch too. Our 2 excellent hosts were very welcoming and friendly. The meals on offer were freshly homecooked, and delightful with the add benefit of being low cost. Please note I made the mistake of bringing plastic bottle of drinking water. They have filtered fresh Fiji water, so felt bad for bring unessary plastic bottles! Great value for money and highly recommend it.
