Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesI did not like that I could not get a cocktail or food whenever I wanted. There were no snacks or appetizers during happy hour.
The location was beautiful, the staff was fantastic, and the activities were so much fun. I loved that it was so intimate with only 5 villas on the property.

AustraliaStaff didn't advise daily activities until last thing night before. Restaurant continued to wake us up daily for breakfast reminder, despite having asked not to. Areas of island off limits due to Survivor being filmed. Unable to snorkel off the beach. Room showing age. Furniture and walls had many wings. Repainting left many paint marks on wrong surface.
Small size of resort meant you had a close relationship with staff and other guests. Room was perfect size.

New ZealandThe wine choices are limited. Important suggestion would be to expand the wine selection. We would have loved the option to pay more for a higher-value wine cellar with a broader range of premium choices
My wife and I stayed at Tadrai Resort on Mana Island for two nights in March, and it was a peaceful, relaxing, and calming experience. We had the resort entirely to ourselves, which made it feel even more special—like our own private paradise. From the moment we arrived, the staff were fantastic—friendly, welcoming, and always attentive without being intrusive. Their warm hospitality added to the incredible sense of peace and relaxation. The resort itself has an intrepid luxury feel—beautifully designed villas with stunning ocean views, private plunge pools, and a laid-back elegance that made it the perfect place to switch off and unwind. Waking up to the sound of the waves, spending time doing nothing other than soaking in the serenity was exactly what we were looking for. If you want a place to completely relax, disconnect, and do absolutely nothing in the most beautiful setting, this is it. Tadrai was perfect for us

AustraliaUnfortunately our balcony sliding door didn’t operate as it should, had a broken roller which made it near impossible to open close without a lot of force or patience and understanding of how the doors work. Sometimes not all our towels were replenished (fresh towels but no floor mats) Sometimes the dinner menu can get a bit much with what seemed to be the tamarind in every meal. Choose wisely picnic lunch items as it can start to dry out by the time you want to eat.
Everything. Location was amazing, 1hr by ferry then private boat 5minutes to the resort. Only 8 guests our entire stay. Secluded, beautiful, quiet respectful resort. Staff are friendly and make you feel like family. Cold coconut on arrival, beautiful cultural goodbye song on departure. You don’t get kicked out from check out or made to wait for check in, as soon as you are on the island you start your holiday. We arrived at 11am Lunch was included along with the unlimited beer and wine and the resort pool right there to use until our room was cleaned ready for us to move in. They know what you want before you do and very attentive. Food was all delicious from curry night to fish, lamb rack, lobster everything. Great packed picnic lunches with whatever to drink when you get taken to private islands for activities. Rooms are great and comfy, minibar with soft drinks and water, 2 showers and big bath dual sinks and doors that open up straight into the pool overlooking the pacific ocean. Massages are great, can get in-room massages too. We liked the coffee flavour, slightly nutty note. Gorgeous outlook from the restaurant and a great lookout behind the resort for sunrise sunset.

AustraliaBecause of the location - sometimes the water took a while to pump up, but the staff were so friendly and helpful they did everything they could to make sure the stay was wonderful!
The views from the Villa were extraordinary - the Villa design was amazing and blended the outside with the inside seamlessly.

AustraliaFood was delicious and plentiful but perhaps better quality meats. And fish was overcooked. Bathroom would be world class if roof & sides were meshed in to keep out bugs and so we could have fresh air at night. A little tired, especially the pathways. Overpriced for what is offered comparable to other boutique resorts.
The staff were superb. Probably best service ever received in a laid back friendly way. Location. Pool. Bures. Plenty of activities.

AustraliaNot long enough! We were there for 6 days... truly exceptional experience. Only had a massage on the second last day - should have had one every day as the view from the massage table is breath taking! Also, the Pina Coladas are unbelievable. :-)
Everything about this resort from the moment you step off the boat is outstanding. The food, the scenery, temperature of the water, the hiking and the snorkeling, 10/10. What really makes it stand out though is the staff. They cannot do enough for you and are always smiling, ready with a helping hand... and of course saying "BULA"!!! I cannot recommend this enough. We went with 4 couples for my husbands 60th and we were kept busy, entertained and with very full bellies. Champagne flowing 24/7 too. They looked after everything, and I cannot recommend enough! We will be back.

United StatesWe only stayed for a few nights and wished we had more time to spend there. The cost may have something to do with it but I think it is worth it for the experience.
We’ll start by saying that everything about Tadrai Island Resort was the best. The secret to this little paradise is the amazing staff; Neta, Nancy, Vani, Vika, Rocky, our chefs, housekeepers, ground keepers, boat captains, our massage therapists, the list goes on. Everyone welcomed us like family and cared for our every need. Tadrai is an exclusive adults only resort with only 5 villas! Only 10 guests at any one time. This gives you complete privacy and exclusivity in the resort, and the full attention of the staff. Simply the best! A few notes. Outlets are type I, three flat pins in a triangle pattern and they are 240V at 50Hz. Take adapters with you. We used Blue Lizard SPF 50 Sensitive Mineral Sunscreen. Worked well for us, no sunburn, irritation, or other issues. We also used long sleeve UPF50 Rash Guard shirts for prolonged swimming/snorkeling.

New ZealandWe stayed for 5 nights and, although we were initially disappointed by the lack of access to the island due to the filming of USA Survivor (ending in July), the friendliness and exceptional service of the staff more than made up for it.
The team went out of their way to take us to several other beautiful locations, including a sandbar, Castaway Island, and Yadra Island. The accommodation was fantastic, and we enjoyed the plunge pool multiple times a day. Evening cocktails and meals were excellent, adding to the delight of our stay. Rocky organized our trips and snorkeling adventures with meticulous attention to safety. Special mentions go to Rocky, Nancy, Asa, Viica, and Cassi, whose warmth and hospitality made us feel incredibly welcomed. Final mention to the Sam on the guitar. Wonderful Fijian songs sung beautifully. Their outstanding service truly enhanced our experience and made our stay unforgettable.

AustraliaWe thought it was a little bit overpriced for our stay. Check out is at 11am, so you will need to sit in reception until your ferry arrives, maybe think about what time ferry to choose on checkout . Although, in saying this, they do look after you while you wait.
Great location, convenience of the all inclusive package. Only maximum of ten people at a time, however this does change regularly, so depending on the length of stay you still meet lots of people

New ZealandThe property needs some money spent on maintenance. In its heyday this would definitely have been luxurious, now it’s quite tired.
The rooms were spacious, with a large outdoor bathroom and the plunge pool was great. The day trips offered out to the sandbar and to the private island with picnic and drinks included were a great surprise. The staff were lovely with a couple that stood out in particular, Asa, the awesome bar tender and organiser as well as Rocky, the tour guide.

Everyone working here was a friendly and memorable character. They always made us feel cared for and comfortable and tailored our trip depending on what we wanted to do. They often predicted correctly what we wanted before we even asked! It was a beautiful island but what made it really shine was the staff. We didn't want to leave mostly because we wanted to keep talking to them even! There were too many spectacular moments to be able to pick a favourite, it was just overall amazing and we'd love to come visit again. Thank you Tadrai, totoka! - Benji and Reyna

AustraliaNothing. Only that I had to leave! Lol.
I can say this is the best place I’ve stayed in my many years travelling. The actual resort is tiny with 5 rooms all up and one small eating / shared area. The rooms are amazing. We had villa 5 which is up the hill and has full privacy. The amenities are stunning, the rooms themselves are heavenly and the bath and private plunge pools are the best. The small island just off the beach from the resort is used for picnics for couples so you get it alll to yourself. The activities included are great - we enjoyed our private picnics, snorkelling trip, fishing trip, tour of the village, sunset cruise, milk bath. All at no extra cost. But the people are what make it. Thank you our Tadrai family. I cannot express how gorgeous this team are and you’re instantly at home with them. I would stay here every time if I could and we plan to come back asap.
