It’s in a suburb outside Châteauroux and has a number of cheap hotels offering overnight accommodation for people passing through. It’s not very lovely and has a few not especially prepossessing restaurants nearby. So the property is fine if functional but it’s not anything other than a functional place to rest after a long drive.

It’s well placed in that it’s close to the motorway taking you down to the south and it’s clean and comfortable. The room we stayed in was just as pictured here.

Secure car parking. Choice of eating places next door. Good breakfast. Rooms clean but compact, great for one night en route stay. Our dog was also welcome ( but not in breakfast room of course!).

Friendly welcome. Room very clean. Good shower and comfortable bed. Quiet air conditioning in the room. Breakfast normal budget hotel fare, but good choice. Breakfast room monitored and items replenished as needed and area kept clean and wiped after guests left. Ideal location for stopover, lots of secure parking. Right next door to a bank of EV chargers, Carrefour supermarket and petrol station a few minutes away.

Really nothing much to dislike - the location on a commercial estate leaves a little to be desired, as does the range of eating establishments in the vicinity, but as a night for onward travel the Ace served our requirements well.

As a French out of town budget hotel Ace Hotel was far better than expected. Large room, well insulated fro traffic noise, very efficient aircon, clean and fresh throughout, comprehensive breakfast buffet in a pleasant breakfast room, friendly staff, secure parking for our motorcycle, easy access to the adjacent motorway for onward travel - given the choice of budget hotels in the vicinity we are confident that we chose the right one.

Ace hotels are ideal overnight stopovers, there’s usually some form of eatery nearby together with fuel station. Also, from our experience, just off main roads. Room was clean, excellent bed and dog friendly.

Cleanliness of the hotel and the easy location from the motorway. Plus three restaurants nearby for an evening meal. We were also advised by the friendly receptionist that upon showing your room card 10 % discount was available at all the restaurants too.

Parking is in an underground secure carpark. Beds new and comfortable. Exceptional value for money, we had a 2 bedroom apartment for the price of a hotel room. Breakfast was simple and delicious. Wifi was fast and easy to connect. A 5 minute walk takes you into the centre of the town with many restaurants. We walked 20 minutes to the Champagne producer, Joeseph Perrier, for tasting and to buy a bottle.

Nice and clean hotel. Nothing fancy but all necessary things and again ours was clean. Staff were nice and the internet worked well. Walking distance to some restaurants and, had it not been Sunday, grocery store across the street.
