Quirky, colourful design reflects the warmth and personality of the owners. It is the antithesis of corporate hotels and quite wonderful. The fixtures and fittings eg in the bathroom are top quality. The breakfast was copious, varied and delicious.

As a designer, I appreciated all this hotel offered. It gave us an insight into all the 1950's architecture that surrounded us. What a joy it was to discover all of this. Their website was instrumental ... thank you both! Our room was sea facing, the design detail was superb. Our breakfast was excellent. What lovely hosts. We could not recommend this hotel more. We appreciated ever design detail and loved our stay....merci beaucoup

Very friendly owners, helpful to guide me in the discovery of Royan and its unique architectural style. Great deco style, all roos different, in tune with the environment. Delicious breakfast. Easy parking just in front.

Not enough shelf space in the bathroom.

The hotel was delightful, quirky and stylish. Breakfast was good with orange juice squeezed to order. The location was great within an easy walk to shops, restaurants and tourist sights. The hosts are charming and helpful. We had a room at the front with a sea view balcony which was a real bonus.

Well organised, professional hosts, excellent decor, exceptionally clean, air conditioning worked well, large double comfortable bed, shower was powerful and cubicle large, towels changed daily and room cleaned daily. Breakfast was amazing with an added bonus of home made cakes and jams. Parking was literally outside the hotel on quiet street and the beach is opposite. Excellent location for us. Stéphane and Jêrome were excellent hosts. Their hotel was fantastic, giving information regarding facilities of the hotel and information of the area which made us feel well informed before our stay.

The most delightful hotel in the perfect location. Plenty of free on street parking available right next to the hotel. Bedroom with sea view balcony was immaculate, the bed was superbly comfortable and we slept very well. The ensuite bathroom was sparkling. The hosts, both fluent English speakers were highly attentive, friendly and helpful. Additionally, providing excellent advice about the region, must see sites etc. Breakfast was a joy, with homemade preserves, cheeses, meats, delicious pastries and bread served with freshly squeezed grapefruit or orange juice. The most perfect base location to explore Charante Maritime. We cannot rate our five night stay highly enough. This hotel was a gem of a find and we look forward to our return visit, most highly recommended to all without any reservations. We have travelled extensively in France and rate this as one of our favourite French hotel stays to date.

Basically nothing, except maybe the missing of cubicles for hanging clothes in the slipping room. But this wasn't a big issue due to sufficient room available around the bed.

Location near the beach with a beautiful view over the bay of Royan and near the city center, 5 min walking distance to restaurants and activities. Very clean and well managed place. We had a room with balcony on the sea side and this is very advisable for enjoying the sun and the view. No noise, despite of the front road and facing the night life of the city. Excellent air conditioning, noise less Very good buffet breakfast. Very friendly staff and helpful for any needs one may need. The two owners Stephane und Jerôme are omnipresent and this day and night if needed.

The room was a little small. We only had a few small bags, helmets and jackets, but they filled the room. If we had had suitcases, moving around the room would have been a problem. The toilet almost touched the wall in the small bathroom, making it a little inconvenient to use.

The host of the hotel met us and helped us carry our various motorbike bags up to the second floor. The hotel was recently refurbished with excellent taste and attention to details. The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was fantastic! There was a wonderful choice of breads, croissants, homemade sweet breads, hams, cheeses and more. The bed was comfortable.
