The floor in the room (Pavot Bleue) was made of carpet, we would have preferred parquet or laminate.

We stopped for one night in this delightful hotel in a sleepy village and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel and its staff are charming and we enjoyed a wonderful meal and were surprised to a find a secret swimming pool on the roof.

The breakfast was minimal. It often is in France of course.

Great location beside the river in the centre of the old part of town. There is a small car park on site and in much needed shade. our room was enormous with sitting area and, most importantly in view of the heat, effective air conditioning. This dining tables were set up in the courtyard which had more ambience than the rather dull restaurant.

We stayed here in two rooms for 6 nights. First night they locked us out at 10:30pm without showing us where the access code pad is (it’s on an unmarked next door building) First night we had 2 coffee sachets, second night we had one, after that we had none. They stopped clean in the rooms after day 3 and we had to ask for more toilet roll as they weren’t checking basic supplies. Both rooms had bath tubs but in one the plug didn’t fit so you couldn’t fill it, and the other there was no water supply. Both rooms had Air Conditioning but neither worked. Annoying as if you opened the windows you got the fumes of the bar manager chain smoking or revving his motor cycle.

It was very cold in the room, I was freezing the hole night even though i put the heat upp. In the shower the water ran everywhere on the fluor , so we have to use several of our towels to stop it. The ”juzucci” is why we booked this place and it looked old, yellow not tempting at all to use The breakfast was poorly we think. Some small pieces of bread and we did not have much to choose from. The service had nothing extra all. Just stressful and heardly even a smile,

It was not clean and needs updating. The carpet in our room was very old and dirty. The trash bin in the bathroom was disgusting. The kitchen staff were not wearing hairnets or gloves touching their hair then food and plates and goofing around in the kitchen. The bartender used his hands to put ice in my glass. During these times I expected more. We have been traveling extensively and everywhere else has been taking precautions. The food was mediocre. I had the seared tuna for lunch and had to return it because I couldn’t cut it it. For dinner I had the tenderloin asked for it rare and it was close to well done and cold. The soufflé was not as good as the reviews state. I think the chef was off that day. The inside dining room was infested by flies. We stayed there because of all the good reviews but did not have a good experience.

The outside dining area was nice. Our server Tiffany was fantastic and was very professional.
