How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Arriving late meant self check in which was a little confusing. Some clearer signage (possibly in English too?) might be useful. There is a help person accessible by Mob phone who was very helpful however.
A good well priced overnight stop location if coming off a 10pm Ferry from England and are travelling South the next day. Easy access off and onto key roads. Does a good breakfast to start the Day at a reasonable price.

Room was clean and comfortable but very hot at night. Parking was closed when we arrived so needed to get the room number to open the gate. The machine to get in very old and didn't accept my card. So if I was on my own I wouldn't have got in but Tim's card worked thank God!

There was no A/C provided and the night temperature was c.25*C. We had to keep the front window open which overlooked the external corridor and the loft bed area was even hotter…..very uncomfortable night.
Closeness to the ferry port, especially as we arrived into Ouisterham at 10pm. The room was clean and functional. Good selection at breakfast.

I had to park outside the gate as it wasnt clear my room code (only found when checked in) was also the gate code

There is no hair dryer and the water pressure of the shower is weak.
Free parking is good for those drive to the hotel.

Room was quite small but adequate for a 1 night stay.
There was a very reasonable breakfast with a good choice of food. All the dining area was clean. We had a ground floor room which was convenient for our over night stay. There are no lifts to upper floors. We selected the location as we did not wat to go into the town. There is a very nice Italian restaurant only a 10 mins walk way, on an industrial estate - dont let that put you off it was excellent

Only slight issue, they had no ironing board, just an iron, and I needed to iron some clothing for an important event.
Really liked my stay, room was really clean and lovely. Breakfast wasn't bad.

We chose this place to breakup the trip to the Netherlands from the south of Spain. It is a typical B&B Hotel I would say. Nothing special to mentioned for a one night stay over its a very good place. Safe car park on compound.

Cigarette smell in room, ran out of toilet paper during the night and tricky to ventilate because the road noise with the window open
A bit tricky to find on a dark and rainy night but probably so much easier in daylight and n s good location for onward travel to the vendee and beyond.

The gates were closed when we arrived. We worked it out in the end but it would have been useful if we'd been told we had to check in in order to get the gate code.
Communication with hotel prior to arrival was good. Many hotels don't answer emails. Simplicity of actual check in.

Very near a busy motorway and window did not blocked sound very well.
Basic hotel with all basic amenities. Very clean. Beds are large and very comfy. Loved having a secured parking lot with a closed gate accessible with code only.

Slightly dodgey area. Some youths started doing "donuts" in their cars in nearby car park and woke me at 2am. The check in was by computer screen, but there was a queue even at midnight. the person in front could not book in and took ages.... not what I wanted when I was knackered and keen to get to bed. Also the rooms were not very well sound insulated so that I could hear my neighbours having energetic nocturnal activities!
Cheap. Comfortable room. Very clean with good bathroom.

A little noisy, and i had hairs and crumbs in my bed before I slept in it. It looked like the bottom sheet hadn't been changed.
The rooms were perfect for the family and all a good size for the price.
