How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Verified reviewThe breakfast dining room was one of the most beautiful settings we’ve ever encountered, full of interesting and well-selected antiques. Our hosts were relaxed and friendly, fluent in English as well as French and knowledgeable about the area. They cooked the best breakfasts we’ve enjoyed during a month in France, including eggs to order and galettes, with a nice selection of cheeses, breads and fruits. Our room was large with a very good bed and all of the necessary fittings, including an adequate number of well-located electrical outlets. My hearing aid broke during our stay, and the hosts connected me to a nearby audiologist who repaired it within just a few minutes.

Verified reviewAbsolutely stunning accommodation and a perfect overall stay opposite the cathedral in Tréguier. The building itself is very impressive and I had the most beautiful bedroom. The hosts were very welcoming, knowledgable and friendly, and the breakfast they provided in the morning was exceptional. Highly recommended and I would definitely return in the future.
There was nothing that I would've changed! A perfect stay.

Verified reviewExcellent location right at the feet of the cathedral in an historic building full of character for its design and for the way it has been so tastefully decorated with antiques. Every room is as charming and confortable as each other. Wonderful welcome by the hosts who gave us great recommendations for restaurants and for places to visit. Home made breakfast was delicious. This place is a must to stay at in the region.

Verified reviewIt is a historical house sympathetically restored. It is right in the town centre close to all the restaurants and other services. It is managed by two excellent hosts. The breakfast was cooked to your liking. It is very tasteful. When I asked the host to help us to book a taxi they decided to drive us to our destination themselves as taxi was not available at the time. We really appreciated that.

Verified reviewEccentrically decorated wonderful old building. Charming hosts.
The description says it has a communal kitchen. Not correct, just a small area where you can make a cup of tea and a microwave. Don't come here as we did expecting to cook meals.

Verified reviewWe loved everything about this B and B! Bruno and Gus were wonderful hosts, going out of their way to ensure we enjoyed our time in and around Tréguier by suggesting and providing maps to other towns and places of interest, making restaurant reservations, and even helping to get our SIM card working! A visit to Isle de Bréhat where we rented bikes was a particularly memorable day! Breakfasts, served in their beautifully furnished living room included fruit, cheese, fresh bread and pastries, and Bruno’s signature ham, cheese and egg crepes- delicious!! We would highly recommend a stay at B and B du Cloitre!!!

Verified reviewThis is an absolutely amazing property. Everything is top notch and very creative and tasteful. The owners are so welcoming and helpful. They helped us with dinner reservations, sightseeing suggestions and a problem we had with our rental car. They absolutely went above and beyond. There is lots more I could say but you should come see for yourself!
Nothing, everything was wonderful!

Verified reviewEverything was great! This is a beautifully restored old building with stunning decor. The room was sumptuous: the furniture and fittings were on another level compared with the many BnBs we have stayed in. The 2 hosts, Bruno & Gus, were so warm, welcoming and professional. They couldn’t do enough for us. From providing a GF breakfast for me (a yummy galette) to countless suggestions of where to visit. I would not hesitate to book - worth every penny or cent!

Verified reviewOutstanding!! Bruno & Gus have renovated this magnificent old 15th century building, right in the heart of Tréguier - a charming little 'cité de chactère' - with love and care, and seemingly with a maxim that only the best quality materiels and fittings would suffice - then filled it with their priceless, eclectic collection of antiques and works of art, before opening it as a B&B. The result is a quite exceptional accommodation. The attention to detail, the highly personal service, including a superb breakfast served in a wonderful 15th century setting, and the energy and enthusiasm exuded by Bruno and Gus, transform this into an outstanding base for exploring the region. We always try to seek out unusual, unconventional places to stay on our travels, but this one ticks all our rather special set of boxes, and goes straight to the top of our favourites list. Our only regret is that we could stay for just three nights. We'll be back - and next time, we'll stay longer!
The wonderful old stone staircase was a challenge for my ageing limbs but that was part of the charm of the building!

Verified reviewConveniently located to see all the local sights. Although the wonderful breakfast is not included in the room rate it is very reasonable and is a great way to interact with the owners who are wonderful hosts and provided lots of useful information about things to do and see in the area. I highly recommend it.
Parking is a few minutes walk away but this is not a problem if planned. There is room to pull up in front of the property to drop off bags.
