How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The property was as described, very clean but basic . The beds were a bit hard but everything was very clean.
The breakfast was very good value. There were delicious home-made items which we appreciated very much.

Nothing as suited our needs
Located only a few minutes off the motorway on an industrial estate. Secure carpark, don’t let the exterior put you off as inside we had a clean and comfortable room with a spacious en-suite. Perfect for a stopover will use again. Owners kindly stayed on to let us in as we were running late.

I did not understand where the hosts went at night. If I had needed help no one seemed to be around and didn’t speak English when I arrived and during the night.
Nice bed linen and I slept well. Secure parking.

Location is perfect for a stopover close to auto route safe and secure car park large supermarket and good chinese buffet restaurant nearby. My second stay would not hesitate to book again Breakfast is basic but well presented good value for money

Unexciting from the outside but better on the inside. A bit dated but ok for an overnight stop.

Nothing to call out in the time we were there.
The great value price. Breakfast was made available earlier at 7.30am despite the official 8am start time. It was also excellent. All codes and room details were shared for our late arrival off the 10pm ferry, which made for a stress-free arrival.

A little difficult to find and locked up with no official reception open as we arrived very late. Located in an industrial estate Bed sank in the middle.
Clean, quiet , convenient stopover. Communicates out of hours instructions well ( and a guy did come out and help us when we arrived late, after midnight).

To be honest it’s a bit rundown, time to renovate. It’s in the middle of an industrial estate so nowhere to go within walking distance.

The hotel is remote, and there are few local (i.e. walkable) facilities. An Indian restaurant - closed when we stayed - and a chinese buffet were the only dining options. However the chinese buffet was completely satisfactory.
Comfortable, quiet. Secure parking, inexpensive.

Those rooms would probably get warm in summer, we'd probably use it September to early June and not summer. Pillow comfort will depend on your likes, I needed my little "rescue" pillow to get proper neck support.
Easy location, through a box store mall. Room was fine. Secure parking Good breakfast Dog friendly but we left dog in the car as cooler than the room

The toilet flush stopped working but this was in the morning so not a problem. The card machine was broken but the hotel contacted us to let us know.
Great location - very close to the motorway. Good communication with hotel before arrival as we were arriving late. Rooms were perfectly fine - not luxury, but good enough for a motorway overnight stop.

barrier to get in could be easier to use but works in keeping your car and yourself safe overnight.
Wanted somewhere cheap to stay overnight while travelling to the Alps and charge my Tesla. The hotel is 500 metres from a supercharger site in St Quinten. Breakfast was very good and friendly proprietor who was very helpful.The outside looks very worn and under invested but rooms are functional and clean. Quiet location and I slept for 9 hours which is unusual for me ! So, fully refreshed, full stomach and fully charged Tesla !
