Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainEverything Perfect!
Our stay at Bastide Saint-Estève was unforgettable. Cedric and his lovely wife made us feel at home from the start, going above and beyond — even finding us the cheese we loved for breakfast. The breakfasts were amazing, full of fresh ingredients. The pool and the Turkish bath were both magical, making the whole experience truly special. Highly recommended!

AustraliaBastide Saint-Esteve felt like a bit of find. The location felt quiet, giving you a real sense of being in the countryside, but at the same time was close to many places of interest so you could easily do day trips. The room was large, spacious and very well designed (we loved the mix of old and new) with the classic beautiful Provencial view out over vineyards. We also used the very nicely designed and very clean Sauna and Hammam facilites while we were there. The building itself is a lovely old castle with a very interesting history. The pool area was wonderful - very private, surrounded by nature and with a great sized pool. The daily breakfasts (which were exceptional) were served on a beautiful terrace surrounded by gardens and a view that you could use at any time. But best of all were the hosts - Cedric and Alissa went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and had many great recommendations about the surrounding area and restaurants (and if your interested - the history of Provence as well). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

RomaniaWe couldn’t find something.
We spent 4 wonderful nights at La Bastide Saint Estève with my wife and our 4-year-old daughter, and it was nothing short of magical. The property is a beautifully restored old villa that has retained all the charm of its original architecture — from the terracotta floors to the antique furniture, oil paintings, and grand clock. The atmosphere is serene and filled with character. Our apartment was refreshingly cool even when temperatures outside soared above 30°C, thanks to the thick stone walls, traditional wooden shutters, and the shade from centuries-old plane trees in the garden. The Provençal garden itself is stunning — peaceful, lush, and filled with Mediterranean plants — and the pool is both generous in size and surrounded by nature, offering real privacy. Breakfasts were a daily delight: fresh baguettes, fine cheeses, ripe fruit, and local specialties served outdoors under the trees — a perfect start to each day. Our hosts, Cédric and his wife, were truly exceptional: kind, warm, and attentive to every detail, always ensuring we had everything we needed. Their hospitality made us feel incredibly welcome. The location is ideal for exploring Provence, with easy access to nearby attractions, yet offering a tranquil haven to return to each evening. Whether you’re a couple seeking a romantic escape or a family looking for a relaxing, child-friendly environment, this place offers space, beauty, and peace for all. Our daughter was genuinely sad to leave — and so were we. A solid 10/10. We hope to return soon!

AustraliaEverything. The photos do not do it justice! For those planning to travel to France, you must come to Brue-Auriac just to stay here and experience it for yourself. The renovated rooms are out of this world, and the house itself is filled with history and so charming. Hosts Cedric and Alissa are kind and friendly, the property is very dog friendly, surrounded by the fields and mountains of Provence. Breakfast was generous and delicious. Plus there is a hammam steam room and a sauna in addition to the pool.

BelgiumWIFI in the bedroom where I stayed was weak, but this is just a small detail.
Excellent location in the midst of the Provence to explore all regions from north to the seaside. Beautiful location, very quiet and relaxing. Excellent friendly and multilingual hosts, lovely wellness and exquisite breakfast. Great, spacious double room that was oriented south, great morning views too.

SwitzerlandThe most enchanting place I have ever stayed at! This house has a beautiful soul: we can feel it in the antique building itself, in the fine materials and beautiful objects chosen to decorate it, and also in the gentle, radiant energy of the hosts - Alissa & Cedric. An oasis of tranquility, with luxurious textures and colors, and a Provençal landscape in the background. It felt like a 5-star hotel, but much much better: because of the intimacy, uniqueness of interior design, and a true feeling of home. It’s a dream to live in a house like this one… I will for sure be coming back for another dose of this dreamy experience at La Bastide Saint Estève. The nicest “hotel” surprise in many years.
