It is, for lack of a better word a pension. You are really in someone's home. With noises, mess etc. You can hear your neighbours and the family clearly. The staff makes it better I guess

I felt safe in the house, but as an FYI, neither the door to my room nor the balcony door was lockable. Overall this was just like staying in someone's house.

They were super kind and allowed me to check in very early (11am) and leave very late (3pm) which really made my whole stay in Aix so much easier and smoother. The location is wonderful and very close to the center.

Maybe it's my bad but it wasnt obvious to me that the bathroom and balcony was shared. This is not a problem in itself however every shared space is a little dirty and very cluttered. The owner's belongings litter the house. We only felt comfortable staying in our room.

Very basic. Two beds meant a double bed of not more than 140-150 (like most beds in France). I am sure owner will have replaced this by the time you arrive but we had old impossible pillows, no waste paper basket, no glasses, only one bed lamp. Staircase to room is dangerously messy with all kinds of items lying around.

Location is great and the view onto the terrace. Cleanliness. Owner helps immediately if you ask but is Not pro-active.

I didn't so much mind sharing space with the owners, their students or others renting (sharing especially kitchen, bath, toilet). Only the kitchen was problematic (busy, dirty, and hard to locate any rags, sponges, towels to clean it up yourself). Also, though winter when I was there, one could have used the courtyard at midday but it too was not swept and the table there quite dirty. The owners have so many things stored everywhere too so you are living in a room without any place to put things away. I really thought that the owners made one feel a part of the city, though, and so it seemed a very nice placement for the money for me.

It is wonderful to hear the music of the students being taught by the property owners. The owners seem also to be lovely people. I liked the high ceilings of the bedroom and the other room, and the way the hall way in the downstairs room gave some privacy in a busy place. I loved the overall location so near the center of Aix.

The cleanliness could be improved, especially in the bathroom.

The location was great, the house is in the heart of Aix-en-Provence. The owners were nice and helpful.

It would have been good to know that it is not a private stay, but shared with the host and his family. However, the host was so welcoming that it made up for it!

It truly is a beautiful room with the most convenient location. There is even a terrace with beautiful greenery all around. The price is the best value you can find in the city centre. The host was also kind enough to let us leave our luggage.

Difficulty to access rental as owner not there at agreed time. No briefing on facilities available as to how things worked , Very small towels.

Central location in historic Aix, comfortable bed, quiet, terrace and garden. Availability of paid parking next to rental. Good water pressure in the shower

The bathroom was strewn with the owners shaving cream bottles and whatnot, hair and mold in the bathroom. Upstairs area like a big storage facility. No fan even during a heat wave. Went to the kitchen just for water and it was an absolute pig stye.

There was no air con, and all we wanted was to get out of the heat… had to sleep with the terrace doors open, which didn’t feel very safe, and had there been someone staying in the other room they had been able to come right into our room through the terrace. Information about the place was scarce and arriving there was just a green door, no windows, no sign. I would pay max 60€, preferably less for this place, so not great value for money.

The location is great; close to the train station and the bus station that takes you to the airport and TGV station; close to the old town and cathedral (700m). I guess the room would be great, but it feels like you’re staying at someone’s [kind of messy] house.

The rooms are not clean, not tidy. The single mattress was on the floor. The room was a mess with dirty clothes from someone else. Of course no air conditioning in the boiling summer. I had the impression of being an illegal emigrant in transit hosted by a private family with a very low standard of hygiene and cleanliness. Almost €90 for a sleepless night is a rip off. Not to be recommended.

It would have been nice to be given a towel to shower, or even a message telling me that I had to provide my own.

I very much appreciate it that hosts were accommodating to my disability and allow me to check in early and keep my bags safe as well as being over accommodating to swap my room for the one on the ground floor when they told me the room I booked was “very high up”. It was a bathroom shared with the host family on the ground floor, which I’m a hippie so I did not mind, but I requested a towel via messaging from booking to different days in a row, and my messages were ignored to this day, there was never a a towel or washcloth placed in the bathroom for me after I requested. I had a migraine and was throwing up for an entire day in my room and felt too sick to even speak, so I sent my request through booking messenger. I really want to leave them a stellar review because they were absolutely accommodating for my disability, but the fact that my simple request for a towel went denied and ignored for the duration of my stay was not very acceptable. I was very sick and ended up having to wash my body with a Clean sock that I had in my luggage. The location is absolutely ideal but as the other reviews state, you are absolutely in the center of town and it is sleep, disturbingly loud at all hours of the day and night. I can’t sleep through most things and didn’t care but beware if you are a light sleeper. HuiHui was especially kind to me and I very much appreciate her helping me with my bags. I do not look disabled, but I am and she was still very gracious to me and I am very thankful for her extra assistance. I only saw the downstairs room that I stayed in, and it was clean and tidy, and perfect in every way.🌻

It's such a lovely Provence-style house more than I expected. The host was soooo kind and helpful. It was lovely, clean, pleasant, and I was glad to make the reservation. This is the hotel I would like to visit again if I travel to Provence again. The location was great as it was close to the wonderful fountain at the intersection. I recommend it.
