How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Quite noisy early in the morning.
The location was good for the Sunday market, which overflowed into the square where the hotel was. The Sunday market was the reason we chose the location.

Location , is not what most would feel comfortable around. Environment is not the cleanest, lots of street drinkers and drug users.

The neighbourhood did not feel so safe and there was noise from the nearby square.
Very good location, right at the exit of the metro station. Comfortable room. Good air conditioning system.

It's just a little bit on the small side.
Lovely helpful staff. It's simple and efficient. Perfect safe space for bicycles. Breakfast just what you need.

Nothing major.The location was a little further from the Euralille station than we had expected.Rooms were fine for an overnight stop with a good shower and comfortable bed.
Receptionist was very helpful and patient as we did not speak French and had never been to Lille before. The breakfast was excellent.

The hotel itself felt very safe, but the metro station can get a bit dodgy. The hotel could have better soap/shampoo in the rooms but that’s a detail.
Small hotel with comfortable beds. Very clean. Friendly staff. Great value for money. Good location right by Gambetta metro makes it easy to get around town.

A little noisy if you're overlooking the station. We could hear people talking loudly and the escalator rolling from early morning.
It is well located right above a metro station, you can easily walk to the historic centre, and the staff for helpful and responsive.

The shower is not the best I've seen, but does the job
Breakfast was really good, with lots of op^tions (and even non diary milk), the rooms are very practical for the price and the beds confortable.

No soap or shower gel at all, had to buy some. Very fluffy towels though.
Good location with parking, clean, comfy beds, large shower room. Very happy about the shutters, which helped us having a good, long rest.

Hotel manager Alexander was very friendly and helpful. He made us feel welcome. Breakfast was good, I would just add there some fresh vegetables like tomatoes and cucumbers to make it great. The hotel was clean. Secured parking garage nearby. Overall, we had a nice two nights stay.

We had a great stay at Brit Hotel Lille. The rooms were nice and clean, though a bit small. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect, as the hotel was next to the metro stop 'Gambetta' and within 3 minutes you could be in the centre of Lille. The parking garage near the hotel was also very useful and you can contact the hotel before you arrive so they can give you the code. The price/quality ratio was very good. We booked adjacent rooms, but instead we got two rooms on the same floor and that was perfectly fine.

Parking is a little bit difficult to find at night under the rain. But it is quiet, safe and very close to the hotel.
Very nice people, very helpful. The garage is very convenient and the hotel is surrounded by a vivid atmosphere of shops and restaurants. The room was very clean, convenient, very confortable

The hotel was what i expected when booking. The room was fine, very quiet with a nice black out blind, and clean. Breakfast was buffy style and was good. We needed a safe place to park the car hence we chose this hotel. The staff were very nice, polite and helpful.

Probably typical for France but there was no fridge. Also, the parking listed is in a separate building, 200 meters away and costs additional €10
It was clean. The room and the bathroom were nice. Relaticlise to the city centre.

It was a little difficult to spot by car even with SatNav. The 'locals' that gathered around the area, especially in the evening were a little intimidating.
The room was a bigger than expected. Clean and quiet. Parking worked out OK once we found the hotel.

The area around the hotel doesn't have many restaurants. There is a grocery store though.
Very helpful staff.It is within walking distance to the university, which was my main reason for choosing the hotel.
