How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Towels were a bit thin, and no hand/ hair towel, but that’s just a personal preference- they were fine to use. Not a personal dislike as there were two of us but the walk from the city would be a bit lonely at night. That said, there was a bus stop close to the hotel so I assume it isn’t necessary to walk if you prefer not.
Convenient location, parking for a reasonable price, comfortable beds, quiet room overlooking a park in the square, decent shower. We needed to be close to the train station, to take a train for a day trip, and it was very straightforward. Lille is a lovely city to visit and this was a great value for money base.

We had two rooms, one had a broken chair , the other a broken lamp, and there were some hairs in our shower.
It was absolutely fine. Comfortable beds, nice breakfast, friendly reception. Free parking, easy to walk into the centre of Lille. All very functional and it exceeded my expectations for this kind of hotel. The fussball is a nice touch at reception.

Saturday morning neighbour's alarm ⏰️ woke us up at 7.00h, kept buzzing for 15 minutes. I started looking for my girlfriends phone until I realized it was not in our room. Some staff could try to smile sometimes, especially when you are at reception.
Close to old center, 10/15 min walk. Car parking is possible (cost 13€ per day).

No plug in the bathroom, the USB ports didn't work and had to get a remote control from reception for the TV but these things are v minor. Really would recommend this hotel.
Room was so comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and amazing value. Staff were helpful and courteous. It was lovely and quiet and I slept really well.

Parking is €13. I parked on the street for free. Just do check with the receptionist that there are no restrictions in place during your stay.
Friendly staff. Clean hotel. First time in a Campanile. It was clean, fresh and modern. Excellent breakfast. 15 minute walk to the old town and slightly less to Westfields.

There was no WiFi password available in the room, we also did not get it by the check in

Room smelt a little musty! Had to keep the windows open to try and air it out. Also some mould in the shower and limescale on the shower head, however these didn’t detract from our stay.
Really enjoyed our stay-easy to get to in the car, great secure parking and friendly staff. Very comfy bed too!

They could’ve done with a few extra pillows as they were a little bit too soft so you definitely needed two!
I provided a good stop on our way to the south of France. It was good value for money and not too far from the centre of Lille. Staff with a friendly and helpful.

The receptionist was also helping to serve breakfast and was overstretched.
A clean, comfortable and modern hotel within easy reach of the city centre and train station. Pleasant and professional staff. Good breakfast.

They approved request for crab but they didn't provide me so we need to sleep with baby on one bed. This is quite disappointed. Breakfast options are same everyday and limited so not found worth for 15 euro per person.
