How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The morning cleaning lady with short hair was extremely unfriendly and looked almost threatening at our leashed little dog.
The rooms are comfortable and clean. You know what you are getting and this is fine. Estelle ( in the dining room) was absolutely excellent- she is a credit to the hotel. Polite and professional and friendly.

Bathroom bit old, small bathtub, and light cover missing on main lamp.
Excellent staff , really a pleasure. Always doing everything so you are confortable. Best food for cheap price. We ate every evening there and it was great. Bed confortable, room well organized. Great buffets. Very good breakfast

I almost cancelled my booking because I couldn't find either "Campanile Orleans - La Source" or "Rue de Chateaubriand" in either of my SatNavs databases. It was only after some independent research that I found the hotel listed as "Campanile Orleans SUD - La Source". "Rue DE Chateaubriand" does not exist - the correct road name is "Rue Chateaubriand", i.e no "DE". Booking.com should amend these errors or other travelers might miss this excellent Campanile.
This is one of the best Campaniles, with the new style of room, but unusually with the bed at 90° to the normal arrangement, which seemed to me to give more space to move around in. It had the usual large working desk and angle-poise lamp, and as with most hotels these days has had the bath replaced by an excellent walk-in shower (although there were no grab-rails). The restaurant was superb, and the staff were friendly and charming. The traditional Campanile starter and desert buffet has been retained.

The rooms are pretty small and the equipment minimal. It’s difficult to leave the windows open and anyway the noise of the traffic would be unpleasant..
The staff was very friendly, the room was very clean, the breakfast good value.

Compared with other Campanile hotels, breakfast more restricted, cutlery not clean. Evening meal was OK, menu options difficult to understand.

Clean, near the motorway, security. Good dinner, exelent breakfast. Very helpfull and friendly staff! Negative, a group of young people making a lot of noise in the middle of the night.

Unfortunately the night we stayed you had a group of young men who made a lot of noise shouting banging furniture and this went on till around 2 am

Accessible bathroom good to have but handrail by toilet in wrong place. Could have been better designed.

It said electric blankets were on the beds and they weren't Room was very cold and heating couldn't be adjusted No cookies although there should have been Shower broken

Pillows too soft, room very tired and lack of usbs
Dinner and breakfast were very good. The room was clean but very worn and there was nowhere to charge a phone. Hot water in the bathroom was not available until about 6.00 pm.

The accessible bathroom was still quite small (though larger then those in 'normal' rooms) though I would have arranged it differently - the hand rail by the toilet was not in the right place and more rails were needed by the shower.
Liked the dining options and room was OK. Anti slip mats in shower very helpful.

Tired furnishings. Mediocre food.
Over the years Campanile has reduced its standards, presumably to keep costs down. It is no longer the attractive over night stay it was.
