The location was brilliant, ten minute walk from the station. Right in the centre. Fantastic view. Spacious room, quiet and dark at night so slept brilliantly. Friendly staff. Robes and slippers. Water replaced for free in the room daily .

The jungle shower was not easy to operate. Instructions were not helpful but the chamber maid was very helpful and altered the setting for us.

The location was excellent-right in the centre of town, close to shops and restaurants whilst being quiet at the same time. Breakfast was superb with plenty of choice and flexible timing.

Crack in bathroom sink. The bathroom looked tired and needed updating. No magnifying mirror in bathroom.

The location was superb. Not far to walk to restaurants and shops. Wonderful air conditioning as it was extremely hot. The hotel itself was very plush in the reception area and bar. Some hotel staff were very attentive. Others were not.

dark room, dark carpet and dark brown walls mini bar was not free in privilege room separate toilet from the bathroom

The location is very good and just in city center close to all the attractions. I stayed in privilege room which was big and had a city main square view. It does not have any other advantage such as free mini bar or free breakfast which I already experienced in other hotels, so I don’t recommend privilege type. The room and the bathroom were clean and quiet. The toilet was separate. The room had dark carpet and dark brown walls so the lighting was not sufficient and personaly, I did not like the atmosphere. Bed was very comfy and clean. The wifi was very good. Staff very helpful and always available.

Lovely greeting from receptionist on arrival. We were able to check in 30 minutes early which was good. Nice decor throughout. Room 409 was spacious, clean and comfortable. Bath was a bonus. Overlooking the square and the opera house. 10 minute walk from both Lille Flandres and Europe train stations. Very convenient. Close to shops, bars and restaurants.

Bathrooms are worn down and in mine a showerhead was not working and a lightbulb missing, which contrasts with the renovated rooms. Nonchalant staff at reception when we arrived. There is no welcome chocolate in the rooms (not that I truly care but then at least don’t advertise it either).

Parking is a nightmare - however there is secure public parking 10 minute walk from the hotel. The hotel has secure parking but it's only 3 spaces! Had some issues with the key card demagnitizing after one or two uses.

Excellent breakfast and great bar with a view. Located next to Opera and the old town with an amazing selection of restaurants.

Location, Location, Location!! You can´t beat Carlton!! This is an old first class hotel. Not still there but not far away.

Breakfast very expensive and not very good!! One night porter claimed he could not serve anything from the bar that was unlocked a few meters away. Door to toilet squeeze.

Location: in Lille, nothing can beat Carlton .!! Interior of room was pleasant . View superb.

The location was excellent, a walk from Eurostar and very Central. Breakfast choice good, room was clean and quiet. Really enjoyed.
