How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Nothing - everything exceeded our expectations.
We stayed at Villa Romana for 3 weeks. We liked everything about this property. Our apartment was spacious with a great balcony. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The bed was large and comfortable. The apartment is in a great location, minutes away from the beach and cafes with a very good supermarket nearby. The best thing about our stay was the Villa Romana team. They were so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you so much for making our holiday so enjoyable.

This is my third stay at the accommodation, and each time it has gotten better. The staff can't do enough for you and are always welcoming, friendly, and genuinely warm. Their hard work made my stay exceptionally enjoyable. The facilities are exceptional. The location is great.

There could have been some welcome items in the apartment like a bottle of water, salt & pepper, bin bags just so you are not buying little items from scratch.
Great property great location with all the facilities you need for a relaxing break. Everything right on your door step from supermarket, to beach, to Bars and restaurants all around Frejus Marina. Bonus for the property is the small Spa facility and the wonderful rooftop pool and bathing area, excellent.

Nothing really. Everything is very convenient. Beach 2min walk, Supermarket 2min walk. Marina 2 mins Road network gets you out easily to adventures anywhere near and far.
This is my second stay at this property and locality. Both improve each time I stay there. I discover something new each year. The accommodation is great. Already thinking of gong back next year.

Really helpful staff, providing practical information such as public transport, restaurants etc. They seem to have thought of everything. For example if you need a parasol and chair for the beach, which is 100 metres away, then they have them available for you. Villa Romana is also close to Frejus Port, with a wide selection of restaurants A well stocked supermarket is a few yards away and there is an excellent boulangerie to pick up the best bread or you can pick up a coffee and pastry there.

It would be helpful to have a trolley for the luggage.
Great location - very close to the beach, only a few minutes walk!!!! The yacht port also very close - 3 min and you have access to bars and restaurants, the beautiful views from the port and its bridges and the best ice cream in Frejus. If you prefer the self-catering option there is a supermarket next to the villa. Everything is at a walking distance. The pool on the rooftop is great and there is plenty of space for sunbathing. The apartments are very comfortable, decorated in shaby chic, with everything you need away from home. Parking is available too, but make sure you book it in advance. Laundry service also available. Overall a hidden jem still very reasonably priced. Lots of attractions in the vicinity if you fancy exploring by car or public transport. And they love dogs :) We would like to thank Valerie for all her help to make sure our stay was effortless and enjoyable!

Bed was a bit small. Only having one towel each for a week is incredible to me.
Check in was really easy. Valerie was excellent and was very thorough. Room was a good size and the location is outstanding. Quiet at night and the local area is safe. Right next to a great supermarket. Just a 2 min walk to the Port. Car park, once you have a space, is really good.

Nice swimming pool, and in june we had it mostly for ourselves. Beautiful and clean rooms. Friendly staff, especially Valerie (reception) has been very kind, and helpful with some advices. Close to the beach, excellent location regarding restaurants and shops.

We were presented initially with an apartment that was too small for our needs, so we decided to upgrade to a more comfortable space.
We had such a peaceful time near the harbour and beaches, everything was so quiet and still. It was great to have a fully equipped kitchen in our residence so we could prepare our own meals. Plus, the supermarket was conveniently located right next door! We had such a great experience with the staff at the hotel. They were incredibly kind and helpful going above and beyond to assist us with upgrading our accommodations. It made our stay even more enjoyable and memorable.

Cleaning the kitchen and removing the bed sheets on the last day of a leisure trip is really frustrating. This should be included in the cleaning fee. The economy of few bucks on the cleaning is not worth for the guest experience, the hotel should think about it and change it’s politics.
Close to the beach, dogs allowed, easy check in.
