We were 5 so it was a bit small for us all, but I think for 2 or 3 it’s perfect! Also as there is no wall between bed spaces, snoring can be an issue when we are many. (Not recommended for children due to the staircase though)

Cute little chalet surrounded by nature and little hamlets, a few minutes drive from the village of Sixt-Fer-Cheval. Mountains there are really nice so a lot of hikes to do (snow had melted during our stay so not the best conditions for hikes but still nice fresh air!) Laetitia was really responsive and fast to answer my questions and send me instructions about the chalet. Heating was already on when we arrived. Perfect cosy temperature downstairs but really hot upstairs. Really clean (which is worth noting for rentals!)

The chalet is beautifully situated, surrounded by untouched nature, where streams of water fall from the mountains. The interior is nice and minimalist, but surprisingly well equipped - it literally has everything! The village is beautiful and has a very friendly community. We had the opportunity to join the locals at the Noel Marche where our daughter enjoyed Christmas craft activities. The Sherpa store offers a selection of regional cheeses and other delicacies, and the staff strives to recommend the best products. There is also a small bakery, Tiffanies, serving delicious pastry and bread, we stopped there after hiking in the mountains and visiting one of the waterfalls, which we really enjoyed. The nearby village of Samoens also offered Christmas activities, including pony rides, which our daughter loves - we managed to ride a pony around town ourselves! There is a convenient cable-car to Grand Massive - the views are amazing! We also visited Chamonix but quickly regretted our decision as it was very crowded compared to Sixt and Samoens, which made it difficult to enjoy.
