We spent a wonderful week in Luxury chalet with a breath taking view on the mountain peaks with commodities such as sauna and hammam. Every morning the breakfast of fresh croissants and French pastries was served by friendly and extremely accommodating owner Patrick.

It was further away from the centre of Les Houches than I realised. About a 20 minute walk uphill. Fortunately it was still close to the TMB trail, so all worked out well in the end.

Patrick was very warm and welcoming. He went out of his way to help us and even drove us to a nearby restaurant. The breakfast was delicious and the coffee exceptional. The views were incredible

We stayed for a wonderful prolonged weekend in this beautiful, architecturally valuable former farmhouse. We could not believe what we saw when we arrived. We made our way up the stairs to the chalet's living and dining area. And there, through the vast floor-to-ceiling windows, we saw the mountains. An all-consuming sight that's equally impressive and humbling at the same time. Thank you, Mr. Patrick, for your kindness. You made us feel welcomed and at home. The jams, fruits, cheeses, and baguettes we had from breakfast were deeply delicious. And if that was not enough, you made crêpes from scratch every morning! Your chalet, in its totality, is stunning. The room and bathroom are so spacious, and every feature is designed with intention. We also enjoyed the sauna, which was the perfect ending to a day of visiting the incredibly magnificent Mont Blanc. Indy, the gentle but fierce Labrador, came to greet us every morning. It was a joy to play with her. She was the icing on an already impressive cake! Thank you for a truly unforgettable stay.

The chalet is a 5-star contemporary accommodation. It has a very unique private location with breathtaking views. Breakfast was fantastic. Owners of the property are very nice people. We wish we could stay longer there.

We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The hosts, Patrick and Christine, are so welcoming and helpful, The room and bathroom are spacious and well designed with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The view is amazing! We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, Patrick makes an excellent fresh fruit juice. The home is well situated for exploring the mountains and Patrick was very helpful with advice and information on local walks and activities. It is best to have a car when staying here as the walk from Les Houches is several kilometres uphill. It is lovely to stay in such peaceful surroundings yet easy to get to Chamonix and the mountains.

Absolutely superb! Patrick and Christine were perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. Stunning views from our very comfortable and modern room on the ground floor! Patrick supplied us with a beautiful breakfast each morning as well as advice on walks, activities and restaurants in the area. A relaxing location only 10-15mins drive from Chamonix. Would definitely recommend a stay at Chalet des grands bois and hope to be back soon!
