The toilet was a bit not up to expectation esp the toilet flush need some time to get used to

Not only was breakfast very good, with a wide choice of quality products from a cold buffet, but it was also included in the cost of the room. We were also offered freshly squeezed orange juice by our host.

The small terrace next to room sounded inviting but wasn't somewhere we'd choose to sit. The room was accessible from host's quarters, but it was locked to the exterior of property.

Room was cool whilst very hot outside. Great Location for Clos Luce, and only 15 minutes walk to town centre and restaurants. Really nice dining room and good breakfast. Parking area locked at night.

The cleanliness ;spiderweb in every corner of the room those are tiny details which make a heck of a difference. It is not great if you’re tall it has a sloped roof.

The location was as good as it gets near the clos luce and chateau d’amboise which are walking distance. The breakfast had fresh french pastries every morning and being good overall.

Parking is up a steep driveway and we got in and out ok but it is a bit challenging.

The location is perfect, right across the street from Close Lucé and an easy 15 minute drive to Chenonceau. Short walk to all of the restaurants and shops in Amboise. Breakfast was lovely, with breads, yogurt, cheeses, ham, eggs. Hosts were warm and welcoming. Bed was comfortable. Shower was hot. We enjoyed sitting in the garden and relaxing. We stayed in the junior suite with terrace.

Difficult to find. Number 5 not easily visible. No instruction before arriving as to how to get in, gate code which room and where was the room. It happened to people after us the following night so it wasn’t just us being stupid. No staff there to greet us and give guidance.

Spiral staircase a little difficult for a large person.

Beautiful old house, in middle of old city. Within walking distance to restaurants and Chateau Royal, and Chateau D'Clos- 2 must see historical buildings. On site parking.

The bathroom fittings could do with some attention.

The breakfast was excellent. There was lots of choice and plenty to eat much better than most other establishments. The hostess was excellent very friendly and nothing was too much trouble.

Miscommunication over check in, partly because we arrived early. Toilet was weird. Would not suit disabled - spiral ladder to the bedroom.

The spiral stair to the loft is very narrow, and would not be comfortable for all guests. This is especially important since the toilet and the bed are on different floors. But if you are OK with that setup, the place is wonderful

Phillippe is a wonderful host, and the location is spectacular. In addition, the property itself is wonderful. The bed was very comfortable.

I suffered significant injury while using the bathroom. There is a small alcove where the toilet is located and it is only about 5'3" high. I struck my head hard enough to draw blood, twice. The tight spiral staircase up to the bedroom, from the sitting area and bathroom at ground level, also required great care to avoid hitting one's head on the sloped ceiling. The shower door needed adjustment so that it could close more easily. My wife flooded the bathroom floor before she realized there was a problem. These problems may be specific to the room we had.

Breakfast was very good and the entire property was very clean and generally well-equipped. Our host was very helpful and friendly. He helped us get taxis to our local destinations, twice (since our French is not good). The location was only a block from one of our tourist sites and only a half-mile from another. It was a long walk with luggage (1.5 miles) from the train station, but even that wasn't too bad.

Our Doble bed room did have a bathroom on the staircase without any door. This was not a privacy bathroom. The toilet was on the other floor, downstairs the very narrow staircase.... a real challenge at night...

Steep drive

Location great, walk out the door to the right and you are in central Ambiose in minutes. With on site free aprking drive left and you reach the highways to all the great Chateaus in the area. The room (3) had a beamed ceiling, nice closet and huge bathroom. The host Phillip was very helpful and even mailed my MP# player I left there. He put out a nice bruunch at 10 and even gave us a goodbye bottle of wine.

Philippe is a warm and welcoming host. Our room ( number 1) was comfortable and spacious and the (continental) breakfast is fresh and tasty. The location is fabulous, close to the town centre with many shops and restaurants, and walking distance to three chateaux (Royal d'Amboise, Clos Luce and Chateau Gaillard). Would highly recommend.

Phillipe a superb host, attentive and always available to help. great breakfast, with Phillipe freshly squeezing OJ Superb location, literally across the street from the amazing Clos Luce, the maison and grounds where Leonardo da Vinci worked and lived the last 3 yeafrs of his life.
